she sat at the corner of the cafe unnoticed.

she entered the cafe a few hours ago, and ordered not a single thing.

she stared at her laptop, typing down the things she needs to take note of.

dates. timestamps.

remember, remember, remember.

she kept on telling herself.

when her usual time came by, she rose up from her seat and went to order.

she noticed that a group of boys wearing uniforms were huddled insude the counter.

they were whispering but since the cafe was (deadass) quiet. she could hear their conversation.

"she didnt come?"

"yeah. usually on this day of the month, our bell rings at exactly this time."

"how would you know that, you're dumb af."

"excuse you, i am older."

"what's the connection."

"he thinks his brain is older and filled with more knowledge."

"exactly!"

"meh, you aint it."

"what!? i am --"

the girl tilted her head at their conversation. why the hell are they talking here?

"uhm excuse me," she interrupted but was taken aback when-

"holy shi-- you scared me!" seongwoo whisper-screamed.

"im sorry, you were just a bit noisy. and hey, im gonna order." she told him, crossing her arms.

"uh yeah, sorry."

"i'll have my usual. i think you already know."

"yes, i'll have it ready in a few."

she paid for her food and went to her table to wait.

she tapped on her laptop nervously. she stared at the words she's typed and in no time, her hands started trembling.

12. five gone, seven left.

she washed her face with her bare hands and closed her laptop.

remember, remember, remember.

never forget, never ever.

she was frustrated, she wanted to cry but she knew she couldnt.

she heard something being placed infront of her and a chair being pulled so she looked up.

"here's your food, hyelin-ssi. you seem very bothered, care to share?"

she managed to crack a small smile when she saw the boy infront of her.
