Chapter Eight

VIII. FRIENDSHIP

"Why did you walk out, Lisa? Aren't you happy to see me?"

"I wish I am but I'm not. Why would you expect me to be grateful to see you? You hurt me, Nancy. Don't worry, even if you did broke my defenses before this time I built them tougher and stronger."

They are at the same spot where Jennie and Lisa first met and it makes Lisa to feel odd now that she's Nancy.

"I'm sorry. What I did has no excuse. I have no valid reason to give so that you can forgive me that's why I followed you here, I want you back. I regretted everything! Every stupid things I did that pained you."

"There's no need. I can live without you. I did before you walked into my life and I can now that you already walked out. Spare me but I won't let you in to my life again."

"Can I at least win your friendship? Just give me something that makes me connected to you. I cannot just cut you out of my life, Lisa."

"Friendship? Sure. Just don't cross the line. Don't ruin my trust." Lisa walked away again

"So, she's your ex that your father mentioned?" Hanbin asked while possessively wrapping his arm around Jennie's shoulder

Lisa just nodded and looked away.

"Marco is here?" Nancy asked Lisa

"Yup. Just a month ago." She answered

Jennie keeps looking at Lisa, waiting for her make eye contact with her but Lisa is too occupied by Nancy.

"What do you do in life, Nancy?" Bambam asked

"I'm helping my parent's in running our company. Sometimes, I'm traveling and exploring places."

"Why did you and Lisa broke up?" Bambam questioned that caught everyone's attention

"Well, I was a coward back then, I didn't fight for her but I am now here to win her back." Nancy said smiling to Lisa

Lisa was about to object but Jennie cut her off.

"How sure you are that you can win her back?" Jennie finally spoke for the first time

"As long as she still have no one, I'm one hundred percent sure that I can win her back." Nancy answered again not forgetting to plaster her sweet smile

"We've talked about this, aren't we?" Lisa whispered to Nancy

"Don't worry, I'm just playing." She whispered back

"Are you going to compete if she already like someone?" Jennie asked again after drinking her tequila

"If that's what it takes to win her back? Then yes."

"What are you doing?" Hanbin whispered to his girlfriend

"Nothing! I'm just making sure that she won't hurt our FRIEND again." Jennie made sure that everyone heard her specially Lisa

"Let's go down? I wanna dance." Jungkook said to ease the awkwardness

They all agreed and went downstairs where all the party people dance.

"I don't feel like dancing, you go with them I'll just sit in the bar." Nancy said to Lisa

Lisa shook her head "I'll go with you."

They went to the bar stools and sat. They watch people dancing. Lisa's sight landed on Jennie and Hanbin, Jennie's arms wrapped Hanbin's neck while their forehead touch against each other

"Are you jealous?" Nancy suddenly asked

"What?"

"You like her, right? She likes you too." Nancy said mother of fact, referring to Jennie

"How can you say so?"

"The way she threw questions to me? I know she's referring to herself when she said that you already like someone else."

"She have a boyfriend." Lisa sighed, watching the couple while her heart is tearing into two

"Do we still have a chance?" Nancy's voice is full of hope

"We're friends, Nancy."

Nancy suddenly stood up and cupped Lisa's face.

"She's looking at us, don't move." Nancy smiled then kissed Lisa's lips

Jennie looked away.

Lisa slightly pushed Nancy away from her "What the hell was that? What was that for?"

"Making her jealous?" She smirked and went back to sit

Lisa sighed "I'll go to the restroom." She didn't wait for Nancy's answer and leave

Jennie saw Lisa walking towards the restroom.

"Babe, I need to go to the restroom."

They stopped dancing.

"Sure. I'll go and find V and Bambam." He said

Jennie made her way to the restroom. She immediately locked the door after checking that there's no one except her and Lisa.

Lisa was about to go out from the cubicle when someone pushed her again inside.

"What the.."

She didn't finish her sentence when Jennie kissed her on the lips.

Jennie pushed her against the wall, touching her body like she own her.

"Jen.." Lisa moaned

"Stop kissing her, you're mine Lisa." Jennie said after kissing Lisa while looking straight to her eyes

"Stop choosing him then." Lisa said, teary eyed "Do you know how much it hurt seeing you two together? You chose to be with him instead you follow me that day, you chose to be with him!"

"I'm sorry, Lisa. How.. how can I make it up to you?"

"Tomorrow at Jungkook's house."
