The loud sirens of police cars and motorcycles roared down the streets of Detroit, Chloe had taken short cuts around the city losing the vehicles in crowds.
An annoyed groan left Hanks mouth as he slammed on the breaks of his car.
Chloe ran into yet another crowd of people who were crossing the streets.
Connor jumped out the car running into the crowd scanning the area as his tall and intimidating lover, Nines, stood beside him doing the same.
The Android couple has been dating for quite a while now. 6 months and 18 days to be exact, and their bond only growing stronger by the day. They're very protective of each other which is why Nines is always at least 5 feet behind Connor at all times.
"Found him," Nines said as he spotted Chloe down the road walking out of a store holding a few bags.
Without hesitation, they both ran towards her at full speed causing the people in the crowd to watch them in confusion.
Nines quickly tackled the Android and pointed a gun at her head. His expression went from dark to confused as he saw a female face instead of a Connor clone.
"Hey man, what's your deal?!"
She yelled at him, wiggling herself Around trying to escape from the bigger Androids grasp.
"S-sorry ma'am." He said quickly getting off of her,
she stood up and dusted off her clothes growling before walking away with the bags.
Gavin sighed and let out a groan as he leaned his arms on the handles of his motorcycle and buried his face into it.
"For fuck sake...we are never going to solve this case... " he groaned rolling his eyes as he raised his head and watched the two android jog towards his and Hank's car that was parked right next to him
"Lieutenant I would like to go back to Kamski's place to investigate the area," Connor said, fixing his tie. His led shining yellow, becoming really annoyed about this case. It has been months of them searching for information and evidence to where this Android might be and just when they thought they finally got some information and found it, it slipped through their fingers like butter.
"It couldn't if gone far... Secure the area. Check every store and car. Leave nothing untouched." Nines demanded, looking over at the officers. Hesitating for a second they all stare at him before walking off to do what they were told.
"In the meantime, Connor and I will go back to the house to investigate while you and the rat stay here and keep everything under control. You..." Hank cut himself off as he stared at Elijah. His was getting suspicious. The coincidence of a Chloe model wearing the same exact clothing as the Android was very unlikely and the fact that the Android left Elijah's house didn't help the situation.
"You have a lot of explaining to do..." He said as he grabbed Elijah's arm and basically shoved him into the car. Elijah gave Hank a dark glare as he roughly pulled his arm away from his grasp, huffing as he closed the door himself and leaned back against the seat.
Gavin growled at Hanks comment as he turned his glare away to all the officers looking around the area. He hated that he 'had' to let the Android go but he would have felt guilty if he had to watch it be deactivated especially knowing that it truly wasn't his fault. Although the consequences if the department found out would be an automatic disband and he would have to serve some jail time. He really regretted his decision, it made him sick to his stomach just thinking about it but he did his part. He has and wants nothing to do with this android. Its safety is no longer his business... Well, that's what he thought anyways.
Nines hugged Connor and gave him a quick kiss goodbye before he walked over to the area to help the guards search. Connor, on the other hand, grabbed Hank's sleeve and pulled him to the car. "Come on lieutenant, we need to leave now. We don't want to lose it just in case it is still there."
Hank groaned and nodded as he climbed back in the car, starting it before he drove off.
A huge sigh of relief was released by him as he watched them drive off.
"That fucker owes me so much money for this..." He rolled his eyes as he bit his bottom lip, shaking his head a little. He still couldn't believe that his best friend has been hiding this bastard for months now.
Vrrr vrrr
His thoughts were interrupted by a small vibrate from his phone as he tried to ignore it. He huffed resting his chin on his fist as he looked out into the crowd.

"For fuck-" He cussed under his breathe as he took his phone out his back pocket to see that Elijah spammed him with texts.
'what!?'
He replied obviously annoyed and frustrated at this point.
'i know you don't want to

He has nowhere to go and really needs a place to stay'

'There is a small abandoned house deep in the forest close to where 60 fell. If you get to him in time, you would have to hurry and find the place before they do and hide in the basement until the coast is clear.'

'....I'll think of something when the time comes... This is if you agree...'

He muttered a few cuss words before he looked over at his partner. He was busy analyzing so he doesn't think he would realize anything strange.
"You! Tincan!" He yelled, telling the large android to come over.
Nines looked over to his partner and sighed as he walked over to him.
"Yes, Detective?"
"Hank just called me and he wanted me to come over to check something out. I want you to stay here and make sure that piece of plastic is here. I don't care if you have to probe every android in the area. Do you understand me?"
Nines rolled his eyes and gave Gavin a obviously fake smile as he nodded.
"As you wish"
He said turning around, his smile turning if to a frown as he rolled his eyes and walked away.
Gavin rolled his eyes as he started his motorcycle. He sat there for a minute, his heart racing, hesitating to go. If he leaves right now, there would be no coming back.
"Do it for the money Reed... It will all be over soon.."
He groaned, turning his wheel as he drove away, prepping himself for the long journey he had ahead of him. Much longer than what he had hoped.
