I have gone to you
In a forest across the mountaintops
A sea of trees under a sky so blue
Where you saved my life amongst the dewdropsYet it was but a dream
I cannot hold your soft, warm hand
See your eyes that gleam
Much like the sky where your favorite birds flyIf only I had known beforehand
That you'd be taken by the ice
That I'd be stuck in this life
And you in another
Oh! How I beg to the moon, my only mother
To reverse the separation of two halves that made a wholeNo one seems to bother
I am now hollow
My soul has a hole
In it you can burrow
Let your hearth be my soul
For in it rages fire
Burning scalding hot and scarlet
Because in my dreams I have seen another
We shared our breath and a tender touch
I curse the bedsheets!
I regret this very muchHow devastating it is to love something that death can touch!
For the other has life but does not smile
Same as you when you told me you hadn't laughed in years
How glad I am to have brought you happines even for a momentWe crashed and burned again, love
I am not the funny girl you met anymore
I got lost amongst the groves
And there I see a snake that stares
I wish it would give me its poison
But poison wants to be my friend
I do not know how to make the live one laugh
For I am a ghost, same as you, but in a different placeSee you in the next life
May the stars guide you home, Stella
