I got lost again
Wandering through Aokigahara, Japan
Looking like a bloodbath
As if hit by a train
I stained the grass with my silhouette as I gazed at the stars
Wondering where you went
Your gray eyes staring back at me
With every shimmering blink
Or did I have too much to drink?
I must confess
I've collected other stares in the throes of passion
Bluegrass forests
Or brown like the damp earth
Sunflowers in the summer
Recently even orange
But none like your blueish greys
Oh, Stella mia, please forgive me
For I have failed to go home
Against your wishes
Because you wanted me to carry on
And forget
I've tried and tried
To look for your heart in someone else
A block of ice that melted when we met
And it led to your death
Now I am full of regret
And I cannot forget
You said you hadn't laughed in a million years when we met
So a million years I'll wait
For someone to make me laugh as I did for you
A million years I'll wait
And I'll never bid you adieu
Yah' Teh' Beh' Lublu (Russian)
Or however you spell
I love you
