Headcannon -
Loser and Cake sometimes watch horror movies together. Cake is more likely to get scared while watching the movie, but they have a more lasting affect on Loser. He will have nightmares for days, maybe even weeks, after watching anything extremely scary. The only reason this doesn't happen to Cake is that he never remembers his dreams or nightmares. (He could wake up in the middle of the night screaming and have no idea why the very next second.) If the nightmares get bad enough, Loser will wake Cake up and they'll just sit together, enjoying each other's company until they both fall back asleep.
