Grabbing my phone &' my notebook as the bell to lunch rang I started making my way out the door.  almost making it out I thought I heard my name being called, snapping my neck back I hadn't seen anyone I recognized so I turned back &' began walking again . "Kenyae!" Someone yelled again this time much louder making sure I heard them once again I turned around , scanning my eyes around the room I noticed someone was making their way towards me , I knew for a fact I didn't know them but i mean everybody knows me, that was the bad part about being 'Big Tones' babygirl . "Wassup?" I spoke as the boy approached me, "Wassup , I'm Derin." I smiled at him. "I would tell you my name , but you know it." I said still smiling, he let out a chuckle. "Yea I studied you a lil bit , I ain't tryna stop yo day or nun. Just wanted you to know you beautiful." Derin told me , showing his pretty white teeth. My brown cheeks blushed barely, but it made sure to show. "Aw you sweet." I told him covering my face, I got complimented all the time but never like this, face to face , with genuine words ... I'm not gone made me a little nervous. "Thank you, what made you tell me that?" I questioned, still .. yes still smiling. He shrugged with a smirk. "Shit you gorgeous , was just makin sure somebody told you that shit." He mouthed .
"Okay yes you're beautiful Ms.Tone, &' yes you're a flirt Mr.Cruz but I would like to eat lunch." Mrs.Williams smartly joked , since we were standing inside her doorway. We both laughed at her comment "Sorry sorry , we outta hea." I told her closing her door after us. We began walking down the hall still talking, he caught my attention. Maybe it was the way he approached me, it wasn't too rough, he didn't make me feel uncomfortable I liked it . My phone vibrated making me stop talking &' whip my phone out seeing it was Ti askin about lunch I hurriedly sent my reply &' stuck my phone back in my fanny pack.

"Wanna walk me to my whip?" I asked Derin, he gave a smile &' a head nod.
"Oh you tryna start sum huh?" He asked playfully now making me smile , I let out a small giggle, &' shrugged , holding my hands together "Maybe" I innocently said back &' winked. He chuckled at me as we walked to my car, holding conversation all the way there.
I seen Ti leaned up against my benz , scrolling down Instagram not paying no attention. Derin glanced at my car then back at me , "Woah this yo shit?" He asked surprised, I scrunched my face up &' gave him a playful eye roll. "So I can't push a Benz or sum?" I asked , holding my hands on my hips he shook his head , "Na I ain't sayin dat , I-I'm just sayin like damn. You rich rich." He told me , I did a little dance "Bitch I graduated , call me big fish" I mocked Meek Mill's song (Going Bad)
He let a laugh out , &' shook his head more. "Man I cant deal witchu." He spoke still laughing at my sentence . "Ima let you get up on outchea doe, have you a nice day beautiful." He added , I smiled back at him , before he walked away I grabbed his arm softly making him turn back . "No hug?" I asked furrowing my eyebrows , he chuckled , pulling me into a deep hug with his arms wrapped around my waist &' mines around his shoulders. We pulled back from the hug but not from each other, almost kissing .
"Okay well if y'all gone kiss , then do that shit . I'm hungry." Ti spoke , now looking at us. I rolled my eyes , pecking Derin on the cheek . "You have a nice day." I said lowly walking to my car . Once I got in I turned my head to Tiana , who was looking at me. "So you gone spill the tea or I gotta buy you food to get it out?" She asked jokingly, she knew I was going to tell her . I just smiled harder, sighing &' leaning my head against the window . Before I could start a sentence I spotted Derin getting into his 2 door challenger , I quickly rolled my window down.
"Na YOU rich rich" I yelled to him , making him look up from unlocking his door. He smiled , "Ayeee so you better call me Big Fish." He said semi mocking me, I laughed at him gave him a small wave &' rolled my window up. Ti reached in my lap grabbing the keys &' starting the car. "Yea you crushin." She told me laughing at me &' Derin's little scene , I smacked my lips .
"Girl no not a crush , he just- I mean like- well shit we- we're friends." I tried to convince myself aswell as her. She waved me off as I pulled off .
Traffic was so bad , everyone was out today which caused Ti to grow irritated , she roughly sighed. "Just go to Taco Bell , ion even want the shit no more." She spoke , I laughed &' pulled out of the line of Raising Canes. "It's not funny , I been wanting that all week." She whined , pouting. "It's coo , we'll get it tomorrow." I told her , hoping that'll help her attitude .
"Welcome To Tacobell , Order When You're Ready" the voice spoke through the intercom , Ti ordered for both of us &' paid. That's one thing I really appreciate about our friendship , it's 50/50 for sure .
"So ima drop you off &' then pull back up because daddy wants to see us before his drop." I told her , licking the extra cheese that slipped off my burrito she just nodded with her mouth full . I turned the wheel with one hand while holding my food in the other side making my way down Ti's street , pulling into her driveway we seen her mom getting off work . I reached my head out the window to speak . "Hey ma!" I yelled , scaring her making her drop her keys she clutched her chest as she bent over &' picked em up.
"Damn you girl! You scared my ass with that quiet ass car didn't even hear you pull up." She said catching her breath , me &' ti both laughed "I'm sorry ma , just dropping ya chap off." I told her , referring to Ti I could feel her giving me the side eye "Don't ever call me her chap again w yo country ass." She joked gathering all her things for her to go in the house.

"It's coo if you don't come over later , I might go in." she spoke , If me &' Ti weren't hanging , she was at work I loved her hustle . Ti wasn't as blessed as me when it came to money &' i hated it . i always try to spend money on her , she declines it so often I just used to sneak it put it in her purse or in her shoes if I got it , she can have it...
    Finally making it back home , I walked into an empty home not one car in the garage . I kicked my shoes off automatically losing some height i let out a quick giggle once I noticed how short I got, I plopped down on the couch , scrolling through some of the pictures I took today smiling at how cute I looked today, my thoughts drifted from me to Derin quickly . He was just real coo , like the vibe I got off him was good I enjoyed his little company . I found my favorite picture &' took it to Instagram
