Bella

"When it's people's birthdays, I'm sure they wake up at like 6, not 11,"

"She's just tired,"

"Does she even know it's her birthday?"

"Of course she knows, she just didn't tell us because it would mean we'd go out and do stuff for her," Luke mumbled, sitting on the bed next to me.

"Hey sweetheart, you're a bit sleepy,"

I whined and leant towards him, feeling his hand on my head.

"Do you think you can open those pretty eyes for me?"

"Can't I stay in bed?"

"Do you feel alright?"

"I'm fine," I muttered, opening my eyes and coming face to face with him. A smile peeked onto his face and he kissed my cheek, standing up.

The other three were by the door, smirking as I saw them. Something was definitely about to happen.

In the night, I'd kicked off my jogger bottoms so I slipped them back on and climbed out my bed.

It was freezing cold.

Calum took my hand, taking me downstairs where a small pile of presents were.

"I can't take these,"

"Of course you can, everyone deserves a birthday,"

Michael and Ashton sat either side of me while Calum and Luke sat on the floor. It was intimidating, having everyone watch.

I picked up the cards first, one from each of their mums.

"Not that envelope, that's the last thing," Luke said, taking a brown one off me and nervously fiddling with the corner.

The first present I opened was a ring, a small flower in the middle. Then I got a book and light pink dress.Whoever had chosen these presents had gone all out. Lastly, I got a new pair of trainers and even money- though enough had been spent on me already.

I was being spoilt.

"Thankyou, I've never had anything like this before," I said quietly, hugging them all tightly. Ashton and Michael swapped with Calum and Luke, the envelope placed on my lap.

"Now I'm not sure if you'll like this one, on a serious note. And you can give it back to me if you want," Luke said cautiously.

"Just open it," Calum laughed.

It was addressed to Luke, so he was in charge of whatever was in here. The tension was built as I took it out, everyone in the room looking at me.

I read over the page, then again to make sure I hadn't missed anything.

Adoption papers.

"Luke,"

I tried to speak but only sobs came out, his arms wrapping round me.

"Luke,"

"Shhh, I've got you. Would that be ok?"

"I'm gonna have a home again," I choked out, falling onto his lap as I struggled to keep my strength.

"Please adopt me,"

"We will," Michael said, gently picking me up and off Luke.

"You don't need to cry, we just want to make this official," Ashton chuckled, rubbing my back.

"You don't understand. I feel something I haven't in a long time and it's all thanks to you," I stressed.

These guys had given me a home, they'd given me happiness, they'd protected me from everything.

Everything I did now was because of these guys and although there were some rough patches, we got through it.

They accepted what I loved doing, who I was friends with, and they encouraged talking about my feelings.

Something my dad would've hated.

But I hardly thought of him anymore, because they'd changed my view on everything. All of them had so much strength.

"What have we given you?" Calum asked, rocking me side to side.

"Hope,"
