Best friends and lovers
Can't seem to draw the line between each other
What is defined means nothing to a brother
You just don't give a damn, that's why I think I love ya
It's not fair, how easy I melt when you play with my hair
I ain't going nowhere, it's not right
I can't sleep without you anymore at night time
Not in this lifetime

Carmen POV
Two weeks later..

"Damn..." I heard Dayveon mumble, making me chuckle softly.

"How was work?" I asked, turning the eye on the stove off as I turned to face him.

"Work was work... what are you.. damn." He chuckled and scratched the back of his neck.

"You like?" I smiled, wrapping my arms around his waist.

"I love... I would love to come home to this every night." He smirked, rubbing his hand over my butt.

"And I would make that happen for you... if we didn't have Mason and two other kids on the way." I smiled. "But I'll be sure to do this whenever we're kid free."

"We're kid free tonight? Where's Mase?" He asked.

"Mason is with Anthony." I told him. "They wanted to make your present together and Anthony is also the only person I know who isn't on a date tonight."

"My mothers on a date?" He frowned.

"No." I chuckled. "She just went out with some of her girl friends from work. Sorry, I should have worded that better."

"Oh." He breathed then let out a small laugh. "How long are we alone for?"

"Anthony said he'll drop Mason off in a few hours.. so we have until nine." I told him. "And I cooked you dinner that you have been craving and bugging me about for the longest."

"Yeah?" He smirked. "Not only did cook in just your panties and a bra.. you also cooked a damn good meal. I think I love you."

"I think I love you too, Mr.Mathews." I smiled and pecked his lips. "Wash your hands and sit down, I'll fix your plate."

Doing as I said, he went to wash his hands while I fixed his plate of food, which consisted of Cornbread, pinto beans, fried chicken, and fried potatoes.

Once I had my plate fixed as well, I sat them on the table then took a seat next to him.

"Thank you, my love." He smiled.

"You're welcome, baby. I figured I'd cook for you tonight since we're going out to eat tomorrow for your actual birthday."

"I appreciate it." He chuckled. "Any back pain today?"

"Yeah, just a little bit though. They're getting ready." I told him.

"I'm fuckin' excited, man." He chuckled. "I pray to God that they come tomorrow, or maybe tonight, or even the day after tomorrow."

"You want them born on your birthday so bad." I smiled, loving how excited he was.

"It's all I want for my birthday." He said. "I'd be so happy to just sit at home with you tomorrow and wait, but since it's my mama's birthday too.. I guess we kinda should go out to eat with her."
