Sunkissed

As the sun kissed my body your lips kissed mine
The cold river water took my breath away when your touch sent shivers down my spine
Your hands pulling my hair and gripping my neck felt the same as when the rapids hit and my body tumbled through the rocks
You held hands with the river that day
Loyalty shared between you
As I lay pale and empty on its shore
My heart beating only as a memory
