Bad boys aren't always bad

Trip to Karasuno

(Kyoutani's POV)

The team ran around the campus of the school until we heard the beginning bell signaling the start of school. We decided to walk back instead of running or jogging, I found myself wondering if Emma was going to be able to come with us for the day. She had to right she's our manager. The image of what happened earlier was stuck in my head as I shook my head to get rid of the thought for now.

As we neared the gym I saw the volleyball teams bus already pulled up and it seemed that everything had been loaded already. We were about to get onto the bus when the coach stopped us saying,

"Everyone go inside, Emma has something in there for all of you."

We all looked at each skeptically for a minute before walking into the gym, which had already beem cleaned up the net taken down and everything, and saw that emma had just set a bag of something on the bench. She looked over when she heard us and smiled, making her look cute considering she was still wearing my jacket.

Wait cute?! When did I start thinking she was cute! While I was internally dieing I didn't realize the team was doing the same, soon we all focused our attention on her.

(Emma's POV)

After I learned we were going up against Karasuno I was definitely excited. I cleaned up the gym and put away the volleyballs and then got the net down and folded, which took longer now that I didn't have kyoutani to help me, and by the time I was finished with that the coach told me the bus was here to take us.

I helped him load everyones bags onto the bus compartments before I got the bag that had the breakfasts in it for everyone, I handed coach his breakfast with a bow and said,

"I made everyone breakfasts last night after I got home, I figured nobody would eat breakfast before practice including you sir. Please let the guys know when they get back that I have something waiting for them in the gym."

With a small smile he nodded and I walked into the gym. A few minutes after I set down the bag I could hear the coach outside, wow they got back fairly quick! Within another minute I heard the sound of their shoes on the polished floor of the gym, accompanied by a few noises of surprise as I looked over and smiled.

"Boys you're back earlier than I expected!"

They all seemed to puff out their chests proudly a few of them having light dustings of pink on their cheeks as well. I heard Iwazumi say,

"Well of course, we wanted to get back and help you before the trip."

Oikawa joined in saying.

"Yeah whats the point of going on a fun trip if our manager is tuckered out before the trips even begun?"

I smiled faintly, they really cared about how I was doing. They all walked over and drank some of their drinks I gave them earlier and Hanamaki said,

"Hey emma whats in the bag?"

I smiled brightly this time and said,

"I was waiting for one of you to ask! Since I knew that you guys have to get hear earlier then most to practice you skip getting breakfasts. So after I got home I stayed up a little later and made sure you all had breakfasts made for you!"

It was quiet for a minute before all of them got a slight red tint to their faces. Kyoutani couldn't help but think about how wife like that seemed. Oikawa and Iwazumi were flustered from sweet act. Hanamaki and Matsukawa spoke at the same time saying,

"Ah Emma has to be the best manager weve ever had!"

That made me a little embarrassed but I started passing out the containers of their breakfasts, it was just like the drinks too. Some of them would give me side hugs for thanks and the third years pat my head. I had made sure kyoutani got his container since after the guys got theirs they went and got on the bus where the coach was waiting. He still seemed unsure of what to do but took it and said,

"Thanks emma...you're really good at looking out for us..."

I smiled happily blushing faintly and said,

"Thank you kyoutani that means a lot coming from you!"

The tips of his ears had gone red again as we made our way outside and to the bus. When we got on it seemed like there were only two seats in the back left open, so we went to the back but kyoutani didn't get in first. When I gave him a confused look he said,

"You can sit by the window to look at the view.."

I smiled again and thanked him before sitting in the window seat, only after I sat down he decided it was good to sit down beside me. I can't believe he hasnt said anything about me wearing his jacket yet. As the bus started up all the guys started to eat. It took about two minutes before I heard people complimenting my cooking and it was a bit embarrassing but humbling.

The bus started moving pulling out of the school parking lot. Soon enough there was a steady rocking to the bus and the light chatter of the guys talking amongst themselves was slowly lulling me to sleep. I felt myself lean to the side lightly and my head rested against something warm, I was still exhausted from staying up late and then waking up early that I cuddled close to the source of warmth.

(Kyoutani's POV)

Once she had handed out the breakfasts we got onto the bus, the only seats left were in the back. I let her sit by the window so she could look outside at the sunrise or just landscape outside. After we sat down and the bus started everyone started eating. Holy crap...how did I not know she was this good of a cook? As I kept eating I heard Yahaba say,

"Kyoutani why do you look so shocked? You've been acting strange, is it cause you've finally got a girl wearing your volleyball jacket?"

I nodded a little.

"That and I never knew she was such a good cook"

I had been staying quiet because she was right next to me, but when I felt her lean against me and her head fell against my shoulder. I looked over aboug to ask her what was wrong but froze seeing that she was asleep. I couldn't just wake her up after she was this nice to us so I let her sleep. Yahaba seemed to see me tense and said,

"Whats wrong?"

I looked over.

"Shes asleep on my shoulder-"

I froze again cause I felt her cuddle my arm. She was hugging my arm in her sleep, how does she expect me to function properly if she does this? While I had been thinking all this Yahaba had gotten the other guys attention and let them know how she bad fallen asleep, he looked like he was holding back his laughter too.

By the time we got to Karasuno I had fallen asleep as well. I was woken up by Yahaba, even though I knew who woke me up I still disliked waking up. I looked down and nearly exploded, some how while we were asleep Emma had cuddled up to me even more and i had shifted to the side a little. She was almost completely laying on my chest. I heard Iwazumi say,

"Kyoutani...you're the one waking her up. I had to wake up Oikawa."

I nodded a little still confused on how we ended up like this before the previously mentioned captain poked his head over our aces shoulder and said,

"We got pictures of you two like that!"

I was shocked but pushed it aside, I wasn't going to do anything right now. I looked down at her and took a breath shaking her shoulder lightly and said,

"E-emma-san it's time to wake up, we're here."

It took a minute or two but finally she opened her eyes.

(Emma's POV)

I felt myself get shook lightly the pleasant warmth around me and the nice wake up felt amazing, especially the deep voice...wait thats kyoutani! I opened my eyes slowly and looked up to see that me and kyoutani were really close together. I sat up blushing hoping they would just think it was a blush from having my face on his chest...oh god I had been asleep on his chest! I got up and walked off the bus following kyoutani, when we got off I sheilded my eyes and let them adjust to the sun before blinking a few times. When I adjusted to the brightness I saw the Karasuno volleyball team with their manager. The captain came over and shook hands with Oikawa saying,

"So this is the mighty talent of aoba johsai? Welcome to Karasuno, my names Daichi Sawamura"
