A/N: Summer. A really long one.

I also found out that this website (https://houkai3rd.gamewith.jp/article/show/54616) when google translated, made "Honkai" into "Collapse." Doesn't have the same ring to it.

《Present》

Kiana couldn't choose a stigmata from the Simulation Archive and decided to come at him with just her own--the Kaslana stigmata.

"Eat my fists!"

Fu Hua had arranged the simulation to be a fist fight, arranging hit points to make the winner very clear. Kiana ran towards Noah with her White Comet battlesuit lit up and jumped into a kick.

The boy caught her leg on his forearm and immediately brought his fist into the girl's stomach. Kiana flew a yard into the air and landed on the ground with a dull thud.

She scrambled to her feet. "T-that was just a warm-up!" she cried.

I thought the simulation earlier was, Noah thought, but all he said was "Okay."

The girl rushed in again, aiming for his legs. Her leg felt nothing but air, but her arm experienced the power of a battering ram and she rolled across the library floorboards. She stood back up, blinking.

"Kiana,  you're at half health," Fu Hua said.

"I know that!" the girl barked.

Kiana then approached Noah with a lot more caution--she circled around him and watched his reactions. The boy was only standing in the basic fighting pose: arms raised, feet apart, and knees bent, yet she couldn't see how he was able to counter her so easily. The most terrifying thing in a fight is not knowing what was going to hit you, but the girl was not going to succumb to that type of fear.

Kiana lunged and the boy blocked her strike. She went again, the boy moving after her her; a feint, but her actual attack was blocked again. Kiana could no longer see just a boy in her eyes--he was now a fortress.

Get serious Kiana! The girl then went with a full frontal assault and the boy widened his eyes. She was now on another level of speed, piling kicks over punches over kicks with little to no gaps between each strike. Heracles granted him immense strength, but with so little research done, there was nothing else to it so far. The strikes became faster and faster, each one becoming heavier and heavier until Noah felt like he was blocking wrecking balls instead of punches and kicks.

At her sixteenth hit, Kiana roared her  heart out, saying, "Neko charm!"

Her battlesuit lit up once more. A yellow ring flashed into existence, and out came what looked like a gigantic white paw heading straight into Noah's face. He realized that it was coming at him at the speed of a bullet train and condensed Heracles' power into a fist.

The air shattered leaving only two students staring at each other. One was at 1%. The other at 0.

"Nice work," Noah told the girl, his arms shrinking back to their normal size. "I'll send you the data tonight once I'm done tweaking it."

Kiana just stared at him, as if she swallowed a rotten egg. Why didn't he do that at the start?

"I think I know." The girl found Fu Hua beside her, modifying the simulation on a virtual interface. "It's because his job was to teach you."

The girl pouted and turned away with a hmph!.

And so ended the lesson. Noah's part, at least.
