Chapter 3 - They Have Her Back

DEAN:

To say I was impressed by the way Jayce handled things when Paige bailed on her would be an understatement.

I was extremely pleased.

I wait for my music to come on before Seth, Roman and myself descend through the crowd.

We step into the ring, surrounding Jayce. She gets into a defensive position and this is where things get heated because as Stephanie said, she didn't plan the matches anymore. She just went with it.

I dig out the microphone from my back pocket and smirk at Jayce.

"You had a good match, Jayce. Too bad your tag team partner bailed on you." She stands a little straighter, staring down her nose at me. Stephanie was correct about one thing - Jayce had potential.

"If you joined us, Jayce. We wouldn't bail on you. We'd be with you every single night no matter what the circumstances were." Her facial expressions changes into an intrigued on. "Unlike Paige, who didn't care if you got injured or not. You had to battle Brie on your own. The only thing Paige did was pull AJ out of Brie's grasp." I smirk and walk a little closer to Jayce, causing her to back up.

"What do you say, Jayce?" She snarls and jumps me. She attacks my face as Seth and Roman desperately fight to pull her off, only resulting in Paige, AJ, Brie, Nikki and Natalya to come running out to the ring.

Paige and Natalya back up Roman while Nikki, Brie, and AJ back Seth up. Jayce turns to me, her blue eyes burning through me.

She stalks me as I back up, tripping. She stands above me, staring down at me as she speaks into the microphone.

"I don't need the SHIELD." Then she throws the microphone at my face and exits the ring. The other Divas follow as Seth and Roman help me up.

Yep, definitely a fighter.

ROMAN:

I was shocked when half the Divas division comes out to back Jayce. And then she spoke. Her voice was amazing.

She usually only trains with Dean so he's the only one to hear her voice but hell, even he looked shocked when she spoke.

I watched as Jayce - and the rest of the Divas - walk up the ramp. Jayce had her back turned to us but the others were watching us closely.

I turn to Seth, his mouth was slightly open as he too watches Jayce.

NATALYA:

I watch as the three scumbags try to get Jayce to join them but when she attacks Dean and Seth and Roman go to pull her off, I knew I had to get out there - and apparently so did some of the others.

We ran out, Paige and I blocking Roman. AJ, Nikki and Brie blocking Seth. We watch as Jayce backs Dean up until he trips. She's handed a mic and she says 'I don't need the SHIELD.'

Her voice was full of power but soft at the same time. It was the first time I've ever heard her spoke.

She slips out of the ring and the rest of us follow suit. She doesn't look back but we do. We didn't want anymore surprises and then I hear 'It's time to play the game,' and I knew something was up.

Triple H walks out, followed by his dogs, Randy Orton and Kane.

"Hold up. Jayce, you're the newest Diva and Natalya, you're the smartest Diva. AJ, you're crazy. Bella's, no words for you and Paige, you're also crazy. And all of you decided to attack the SHIELD!?" I look at Jayce, her face was emotionless. Triple H smiles a wicked smile. "Why don't all of you go up against the SHIELD in a handicap match? Tonight." I look at Jayce again, a smirk on her face this time.

I look to the three men standing in the ring, smirks on all their faces.

Jayce grabs the microphones from Triple H.

"Or, I can go against them - all of them - myself." I grab the microphone from Jayce.

"I'll be there, standing in your corner."

Paige. "I'll be with Nattie."

AJ. "Same."

Nikki. "Me too."

Brie. "Definitely."

We all look at Jayce. She looks at Triple H.

"It's settled then." She drops the microphone and pushes past Triple H.

She had balls.

TRIPLE H:

To prove to Stephanie how bad things could turn out with Jayce here, I made a 6-on-3 handicap match.

"Do you seriously think this is going to prove anything to me? I believe in Jayce. Yes, she's going to make changes, but she'll make the Divas division better!"

"She's going to make it plummet!"

"Why? Because the WWE Universe wants to see blonde barbies instead of girls who actually give a shit!"

"We've got Paige and AJ for that."

"Jayce...Jayce will make a huge imprint. You just wait." I scoff and Stephanie glares at me.

"When the Divas division falls because of Jayce, it's on your shoulders."

"And when it rises, it'll be on my shoulders."

"Fine." I walk out of the office and slam the door. I could hear a sigh coming from the other side but I walk to ringside, to commentary.

I didn't like the SHIELD.

I don't like Jayce.
