{17. Know Thy Enemy}

Welcome to gossip girl, I said in my head, okay I'll stop let's get serious. Isobel is at the door and she's looking at Elena and looks at me and my stomach and she looked jealous and  Jenna is stunned.

"Hello, Elena and Luna. It's nice to see you two again." She said sweetly, but I knew she was faking it and I felt Jenna's eyes on us.

"Again?" Jenna asked as we stayed silent. "So you're the woman who's friends with my husband and Luna I heard you two are engaged but I need to speak to Elena and you. May I come in?" She asked Jenna.

"N-n-no. Don't...don't invite her in." Elena said quickly. "I need to talk to you, Elena." She said urgently. "No!" Elena said angrily as she slams the door in Isobel's face and looks at Jenna, who's crying and I saw too. Oh no.

"You knew she was still alive? Ric? John? Did they know?" She asked us. "Jenna we can explain." I said and Elena nodded. "Yeah, we can explain everything, Jenna." Elena said as Jenna shakes her head.

"No." She said with tears. "No. Jenna, please." We said as Jenna runs upstairs and we follow her. "Jenna, please. Wait. Jenna, please wait." Elena said as Jenna goes into her bedroom and slams the door and me and Elena are outside , at the door.

"Jenna, you have to talk to me. I...I need to explain what's going on. Jenna, please." Elena pleaded her as I heard her crying and I started breathing heavily and walked away going into my room and Elena saw and her eyes went wide as I went into my room about to faint but she caught me.

"Hey, are you okay?" She asked me as I nodded and teared up. "I'm the worst friend ever and she hates me." I cried and she hugged and started soothing me and hugged me gently and closed my eyes and I didn't know I fell asleep.

The next day Luna was still asleep and Elena opens the door to Alaric. "Hey. Is she up yet?" Alaric asked Elena. "She won't come out of her room." Elena said referring to Jenna.

"What'd you tell her?" He asked her worried. "Nothing. She won't talk to me." Elena said.

"We're gonna have to fix this, Elena." He assured her as Jenna comes down the stairs.

"Hey."

"Jenna." Alaric said softly. "I don't want you here, Ric. You need to go." She said angrily. "Okay, listen. I can't begin to imagine what you must be feeling right now." He said. Rage and betrayal would pretty much cover it." She said as she puts on her jacket and takes her bag.

"Where are you going?" Elena asked her and Jenna looks at her. "I'm going to stay on campus. I have a thesis to write, and I don't want to be in this house." She said. "Jenna, please just stop. Let us explain to you exactly what is going on."

"Elena, I need you to go to the Lockwood's today and accept the Historical Society's check for your mom's foundation." Jenna told Elena ignoring Alaric. "Okay, but, Jenna, please just..." But Elena was cut off by Jenna. "I don't have it in me to hear any more lies from you." She said and leaves  and closes the door.

"Jenna, just..." She was about to follow her but John comes out of the kitchen and Luna woke up and heard John and got angry. "Let her go. It's better that she's not here, what with everything that's going on but maybe had you been a little more honest with her from the beginning, this..." But he was cut off by Alaric who punches him in the face.

"Sorry, Elena." Alaric said as he was about to leave and I vamp speeded down and grabbed him by the neck and showed my vampire face and he looked at me with fear. "You ruined my friendship with Jenna." I said angrily and let go of him and punched him harder and I saw Alaric and kissed him on the lips. "I'll see you later." I told him and Alaric leaves as I see Elena who looks at John with a smile.

"You know this is your fault, right?" She said and John nodded. "Right." He said as Elena grabs my arm and we head upstairs.

Later,Alaric goes to his car but Isobel is there. "Hi, Ric." She said kindly. "Isobel. What do you want?" He asked annoyed. "Just cleaning up some loose ends."

"Yeah, we don't have any loose ends." He said. "You may not. I do. I need to apologize to you." She said and he looks at her annoyed. "It's a little late for that."

"No, not for what I've done in the past. We're beyond that. Although I am sorry for outing you to your friend and also talking to your fiance. That was petty of me." She said and he looks at her. "Look, whatever jacked-up vampire amends that you're trying to make with me right now, I'm not interested." He bluntly said.

"Of course not, because I compelled you to let me go. I realize that I don't wanna do what I have to do without you knowing how much I loved you and I did. I loved you so much. He's all yours." He said as a man behind Alaric he puts his hands next to Alaric's head and he falls on the floor, unconscious and Isobel leaves, looking pained.

Katherine wakes up and sees the warlock casting a spell on someone sitting in a chair and there are two vases and one is full of blood; the other is empty and knocked over on its side and she starts to get up and sees that Elena's necklace is gone and sees that It's Alaric that is in the chair and he opens his eyes and gets up and rhe warlock bends down in a bow. Katherine gets up slowly and Alaric turns around and sees her.

"Somno Ritum Per Dax Ritum, Somno Ritum Per Dax Ritum,Somno Ritum Per Dax Ritum." Maddox said he changed as Katherine says his name.

"Alaric?" She questioned and a smile crosses Alaric's face and She rushes over to the door but an invisible force prevents her from exiting and Alaric slowly walks over to her and speaks in a Slavic accent.

"Zdravei, Katerina." He said and takes her face in his hands and she looks at him. "I have missed you." He said and her eyes went wide.

"Klaus!" She breaths out and Klaus smiles widely at her and she looks at him in fear.
