{12. Our Mikaelson Ball}

I arrived and they opened the door as I came in and everyone looked at me and I felt myself smirk and then I felt someone beside me and I looked and saw that it was Damon and he was giving his arm to me and I wrapped my arm with his.

"You look lovely, Luna." He told me and I smiled. "Well thank you, you don't look bad yourself." I told him as he smiled at me as we walked up Carol.

"Hello Carol."

"Hello." She said as we clinked glasses.

Hanging out with your new besties?" Damon joked and I slapped his back.

"I'm the mayor, Damon. When the oldest, deadliest, family of vampires moves into your town, you welcome them with a smile." Carol said and Damon hums. "Well at least you know who you're borrowing that cup of sugar from."

"I'm trying to protect this town. They've assured me they want peace, and I've assured them that I'd enforce it." Carol told Damon as I see Kol walk towards us and he kisses Carol on the cheek and then he kissed mine and I kissed his cheek.

"Hello sister, Mayor Lockwood. We haven't formally met. Kol Mikaelson. I hope your lovely town embraces us just as much as we plan to embrace it." Kol said as I see Damon holds out his hand to shake Kol's hand.

"Damon Salvatore. Have we met?" Damon said as Kol ignores his hand and looks at him. "I've met a lot of people. And you don't particularly stand out." Kol said and I chuckled and Kol looks at me.

"Come Luna." He said as I grabbed his arm and we walked as Damon sees Elena enter wearing an exquisite dress and he stares at her.

"Excuse me, Carol." Damon told her as
Stefan and Damon walk up to Elena.
"What are you doing here?" Damon asked her.

"I could ask you the same thing." Stefan said referring to Damon. "Surprise, surprise. Nice tux. You're not supposed to be here." Damon said fixing his tux.

"Well, I am. And I'm not leaving until I find out what Esther wants. So, shall we?" Elena told them as Stefan offers Elena his arm and she wraps hers in it and she looks at Damon and he does the same, and she takes his arm with her other arm as Both Salvatores escort her into the party.

I walked up the steps and stand beside Klaus as Elijah makes an announcement. "Uh, if everyone could gather, please." Elijah asked the guests.

"Welcome, thank you for joining us. You know, whenever my mother brings our family together like this, it's tradition for us to commence the evening with a dance." Elijah said as Damon and Stefan notice Esther.

"Do you see who I see?"

"Oh, yeah."

"Tonight's pick is a centuries-old waltz, so if all of you could please find yourselves a partner, please join us in the ballroom." Elijah told everyone as Esther leaves and Elena tries to move upstairs but Damon blocks her way.

"Don't even think about it." Damon told her. "She wants to see me alone, Damon." Elena told Damon.

"Well sucks to be her then. Was I not clear this morning?"

"I was invited."

"You have to tell me before you walk into a lion's den." Damon said to Elena. "Why so that you can stop me?" Elena scoffed out.

"Uhh...Yes!" He said as he extends his hand towards her. "It would be rude not to dance, you know." He told her as Elena takes his hand

"It is tradition." She said as Damon and Elena walk out to the ballroom as Stefan watches them with a depressed look on his face and I see him and walked up to him and he looks at me.

"Come on Mr. Salvatore." I said sticking out my hand and he took it smiling and went to the dance floor.

As everyone danced Luna couldn't stop smiling, that my family is finally coming back together.

Kol appears in front of Matt and introduced himself. "Good evening. You're Rebekah's friend. We haven't met." Kol told him.

"Matt Donovan." Matt said as they shake hands. "Kol Mikaelson." He said said as Kol starts squeezing Matt's hand tightly and suddenly Kol breaks his hand and Matt yells in pain and Matt falls to the floor and Damon appears behind him.

"Hey, hey, hey, hey!" Damon called out as Matt cries in pain. "Easy on the hand. Guy's a quarterback." Damon told him as

Damon vamp speeds at Kol and pushes him off the balcony and jumps after him and Damon then beats up Kol and I heard and vamp speeded up to Damon but he snaps his neck and I pulled him off.

"What the hell Damon!!" I yelled out and he looks me. "Oh, shut up." He told me and snapped my neck and I fell to the ground and Stefan comes running out.

"Damon! Are you crazy?" Stefan exclaimed and rest of the Mikaelsons and Elena come out from the opened door and see what happened.

"Maybe a little." He looks at Elena. "Far be it from me to cause a problem." Damon said as he walks away

Stefan walks up to Luna and grabs her and Elena comes up to him and they left taking Luna back to the Gilbert house.
