It's a crisp morning in early spring, the snow has finally melted, leaving the brown grass exposed and ready to be overtaken by the new years growth. Kara Danvers doesn't even try to keep the hem of her dress out of the mud as she strolls down the lane. Spring is her favourite time of year, full of new beginnings and rebirth, but most importantly, flowers. As she reaches the mailbox her thoughts begin to calculate the date of this years last frost.
Flipping through the mail, it seems that there's nothing new or exciting - but then one envelope feels a little thicker than the others. Curious, Kara opens it immediately. She pulls out an invitation addressed to a 'Lena Luthor'. Kara checks the address on the envelope again. It matches her own. How could this happen? She continues to turn the envelope over in her hands, her finger catches along the edge. There are two envelopes here. Gently she pries them apart, some of the envelope peals off, but the address remains intact.
Miss Lena Luthor,
Highfield Lane, Metropolis.
"Lena Luthor," Kara quietly mumbles aloud as she heads inside.
She searches her desk drawer for an envelope and a piece of stationary.

Dear Miss Luthor,
It seems our mail has had a bit of a mix up. I found this envelope stuck to the back of one of my own only after I had opened it. I did not read past your name, for I respect your privacy. I hope this envelope finds it's way to you.
Best wishes,
Kara Danvers

She folds the note and places it inside the new envelope, along with the old one. She carefully copies the address, and writes her own in the top corner –in case it doesn't make it to Miss Luthor, she tells herself.

A few days later Lena Luthor receives her mail on a silver tray from a servant. As usual, all boring, however one envelope catches her eye, it's sunshine yellow and sealed with a beautiful wax stamp. The return address is for a 'Miss Kara Danvers'. Intrigued by the unfamiliar name she quickly opens the envelope. She finds the note and her invitation inside. Touched by such a gesture, Lena feels compelled to reply.

Dear Miss Danvers,
I want to thank you for your kindness, my invitation has found me at last. I am glad it found you, anyone else would have just thrown it away.
Eternally grateful,
Lena Luthor
