The car ride was silent and with the way Korede gripped the steering wheel so hard that I feared that it will vanish into nothing. I put on the data on my phone and it vibrated for a long time before I opened my messages

12 missed calls from Dad

One notification from group chat 'Chola'

I opened the group chat notification and my blood ran cold

You have been removed by Lanre

Great

I put off my phone and sighed when Korede still looked annoyed
"Korede" I said and touched his shoulders while he tensed
"Get you hands off" he seethed and I looked at him hurt before slowly removing my hand and staring out of the window. We got to the studio and I stared at Korede when he stopped the car
"Korede, why are you angry with me?" I asked him and he ignored him
"Korede" I started again and he sighed
"I'm getting late for work Odette" he said with an irritated tone and I felt my eyes sting with tears

"What did I do?" I cried and his features softened before he turned to me
"Odette I'm sorry I'm making you feel this way but you seem to be ignoring me and my feelings for you" he said and I took a deep breath
"Korede"
"No Odette please, my brother doesn't even have you in mind, kissing you was the best thing I ever did in my life, and I'm sure you felt the same way to" he said and I looked away
"That was my first kiss Korede, how'd you expect me to feel?" I asked him and he sighed
"Just give me a chance Odette" he pleaded
"I'm going to America next  tomorrow, can you do long distance?" I asked him and he nodded
"I can, my feelings for you are sincere Odette, let's date eachother" he said and I sighed

"I'll think about it" I answered and came down from the car. As I walked into the building, Korede called me and I stopped and turned back to see him jogging towards me
"Did I forget something?" I asked and he smiled before planting a chaste kiss on my lips which made me to blush and look away
"Have a wonderful ballet practice" he said and walked back to his car then drove off. I entered the studio and smiled when it was just me inside. I went to the changing room and wore a spare ballet shoe from the lost and found before removing Korede's baggy shirt and wearing a white inner shirt that I found in my locker. When I went back to the studio people were already there

Including Lanre and Chisom and I sat cross legged on the ground while waiting for the class to start
"Hey" Biodun greeted and I noticed Chisom's attention on us so I smiled at him
"I want to ask Chisom out and I was wandering if you could tell me the things she likes" he said and I nodded
"Boys" I said and he raised his eyebrow
"Boys?" He asked and I realise what slipped out of my lips
"I meant toys, barbie dolls" I lied and he nodded before pulling me for a hug. I stared at Chisom who was glaring at us violently and let go of Biodun
"Thanks Odette" he said then walked back to his group. Bunmi rushed in and got the class in order before starting today's lesson
"Today you are going to dance these moves  with your partners" she said then motioned for Chike to come forwards
"Now the job of the guys is to read your partner as she's dancing, you should be able to sense her next move " she said the suddenly fell but Chike caught her in time making it to look like a dip

"Good" she said then kept a CD in the player before clapping twice
"Get into position!" She said and everyone went to meet their partners. Lanre and I met in the middle of the room  and he grabbed my hand before twirling me.
"The choice is yours" he whispered then let go of me. I jumped and did a split mid ari and he caught me before letting go of me again. We did some more moves and I decided  to end it with my first move

Everything happened in slow motion. I prepared to jump and as I jumped I did a split mid air and expected Lanre to catch me but he just scooted to the side and I fell on my ankle

"Ouch!" I yelled and everyone's attention were on us. I cradled the dislocated ankle and glared at Lanre who shrugged and smiled
"You were already falling for me anyways? What difference does a little sprain make?" He asked and Bunmi clicked her tongue
"Olanrewaju, get the first aid kit now!" Bunmi commanded and he left to get it
"Sharon call 112" She added and Sharon picked her phone

Okay, even though my ankle was hurting Idg the whole fuss

Lanre came with the first aid kit and and was about to touch my leg but I scooted away

Chisom sat down beside me and took my hand while she glared at Lanre who shrugged and crossed his arm

Before first aid could be administered, sirens sounded and Bunmi sighed before picking my phone
"Who do you want me to call?" She asked and I stiffened when the paramedics carried me and placed me on a stretcher

"You can call my dad" I said and she nodded before leaving with my phone

They carried me to the ambulance and chisom sat beside me while Lanre entered his car

As the ambulance moved, the paramedics tried touching my leg but it was painful so they just supported it on a pillow until we go to the hospital

They carried me on the stretcher into the Hospital and a nurse that was chewing gum appeared from nowhere

"Name?" She asked
"Odette"
"Surname please" she said and I sighed
"McNally" I replied and she looked up before popping a bubble
"Citizen?" She asked and I nodded
"Dual Citizen" I replied and she sighed
"Someone registered as Zaddy was contacted through your phone, he'll come into the Xray room when we've taken the Cray of your leg" she said and I nodded before they carried the stretcher into a room with a door labelled as X-ray

I saved Dad's contact  as Dad, who's Zaddy?

I closed my eyes as they did the necessary and I was transfered to a private ward

A doctor entered with a nurse and I smiled at them before sitting up

"Your heel broke and it'll take a few days to heal" he said and I nodded
"I have some bad news tho, you might not be able to dance ballet again" he said and I frowned
"What?" I asked and the doctor took out a note pad
"Your leg wasn't prepared to brace the fall, so we have to replace some bones with metal. It'll be okay" he said and I felt my eyes sting with tears
"What?" I asked again and he sighed
"Please send her father in" he told the nurse and she left the room

I wouldn't be able to do ballet anymore?

I couldn't process it

I cried silently and didn't bother to look at my Dad as I heard the door to the ward opened and closed

"Odette"
"Korede?" I said with surprise as I looked up
"You're not my dad" I said and the doctor was about to send him out but I stopped him
"Let him stay" I said and the doctor and nurse left the room
"Odette what's wrong?, why are you crying?" He asked me and I suddenly got angry as I remembered what happened
"I hate Lanre, I hate him with everything " I cried and Korede sighed
"I've called mom and dad, Dad is on his way, mom is at work" he said and I nodded before cleaning my tears

"The doctor said I won't be able to do ballet anymore" I whispered and Korede's eyes grew wide
"It should only be a sprain!" he exclaimed and I sighed
"I know, but they said some bones broke and they'll have to replace them with metals" I said and he cussed
"I'm sorry Odette" he said and took my hand before kissing it
"It'll be okay"  he assured and I shook my head
"I love ballet" I said and he sighed
"I know Odette, I know"

Suddenly the door opened and Chisom and Lanre walked in which made me to direct my attention to them
"Get out" I said and Lanre and Chisom frowned
"Odette calm down" she said and I squeezed Korede's hand
"If you have a problem with it Chisom, follow him" I said and Lanre sighed
"Odette I'm sorry"
"Get out" I answered and he sighed
"Odette" he said and I rested my head on the pillow before looking away
"Odette" Korede whispered and I shrugged his hands off
