Walking into the dark room, you see Elvis illuminated by the soft lamp light- jet black hair greased backwards with a strand falling in front of his eyes. He was tucked under the covers of your bed, reading a book quietly. Noticing he hadn't even changed out of his pink and black shirt from the day you saw frown lines casting shadows onto his face. Elvis looked exhausted and unusually upset.

"E, are you alright?" You queried tenderly, leaning against the wooden doorframe and watching him sigh heavily, the book staying firmly in front of his face

"E, are you alright?" You queried tenderly, leaning against the wooden doorframe and watching him sigh heavily, the book staying firmly in front of his face. A southern voice cut through the night air softly.

"I'm alright satnin, don' you worry." Voice seemingly about to break, the covers shifted as he moved uncomfortably. You knew he was telling a lie. Carpet thudding under your feet as you paced across the black and red coloured bedroom, the bed creaked softly under the new weight. Soft as feathers, the light sheets fluttered when you shifted to join Elvis, putting a delicate hand upon the book, lifting it down to see his beautiful face which was crumpled with quiet tears. Diamond blue eyes glittering, his cheeks were stained a bright red, mouth turned downwards from a result of trying to muffle his sobs.

"Oh E." You muttered softly, embracing his manly stature within your arms where he laid his gorgeous face into your chest like a child would. His nose rubbed against your covered breasts comforting himself. Tanned arms snaked around your back, pulling you ever so close and he began softly stroking your shoulder blades through the white satin nightgown you were covered by. Goosebumps prickled your skin as a result of your lovers touch, face still hidden away from your gaze.

Gelled locks ran through your fingertips as you stroked his head soothingly, yearning to know what is wrong with him. This was his first night home from one of his small performances and you couldn't help but be proud of Elvis. His long, strong legs entwined beneath the covers with yours, pulling the two of you closer then could have been imagined.

"I'm sorry Y/N." Elvis sobbed into the nightgown, gasping for breath whilst his sobs became louder and shoulders shook with each cry that escaped. Expecting the worst news to be broken  (for Elvis never cries this way) you urged him to continue. Arms tightening their grip, he croaked an explanation slowly and regretfully.

"I've been focusin' so much... too much on my music, that I've been ignorin' you. I ain't had sex with you in over five months and it's Killin' me darl'. Whilst I was away, you know I was thinkin' about you - every night. I missed your touch, scent, your words. Seein' you again today just brought those feelin's back to me. I'm sorry that I don't make time for you darl'. And I know that, when I was gone, you found someone new. It would be selfish of me to keep you here when he can give you more then I ever could. But Honey, I can't help being selfish when I've never known anythin' like you. Don't go... Y/N please don't go." Elvis cried loudly, fists clutching the nightgown material, your chest covered in salted tears whilst he balls unexpectedly in your arms.

Heart heavy, you tried to explain that no one would be as good as he already is to you. "Elvis... there's no one new." You whispered softly, resting your head on his raven locks. Rubbing your foot down his leg, he sniffles quietly listening. "How could there be anyone else? Elvis, you are everything to me and without you I couldn't breathe or think straight. Who else is going to sing me love ballads whenever I'm upset? Who's going to get up with me in the middle of the night just to make peanut butter and fried sandwiches? Who else could make me ready to give my life to them just from one kiss?" You asked him, listening to his stuffy breathing hot against your skin.
