While I'm trying to figure out the next chapter of my story, I have a thought that I decided to share.

Has anyone else ever noticed this?

So you have a character who is totally badass. I mean this person has been through hell and back (sometimes literally) so of course you look up to them and respect them.

So this same badass character has like a scar or has lost a limb or something and you think...oh he (or she) had to have done something so badass and crazy and lost it in a fight. Everyone thinks this right?

But then you find out this character has that scar or whatever it is because of a stupid reason?

Ok so here are my two favorite examples. A few weeks ago, me and my boyfriend went to see Captain Marvel in theaters. By the way, it was lit 🔥🔥

So anywho I was all excited cuz I'm like ok now we're finally gonna learn how his eye got all messed up. And I'm building it up in my head like, He has dealt with aliens, gods, chitauri, all kind of stuff and has fought everything you can think of. This had to have happened fighting something dangerous!

Nope! It was cuz of a cat! Director Nicholas motherfucking Fury who is a total badass, who has fought aliens, gods, chitauri, who put the avengers together to save the world numerous times! That guy! And yet he lost his fucking eye because of a fucking cat!! Are you kidding me?!?!!

Then there's my other personal favorite. So I am a big fan of Cirque du Freak and Mr. Crepsley is the most badass guy I've ever met!

So this guy was a vampire general, fought hundreds of vampanese, was the first vampire to decide not to kill humans when they drank from them, just numerous things this guy did.

So I'm curious as to how he got his scar, right? And I'm thinking, hey, it must've been fighting a fucking army of vampanese or maybe even Mr. Tiny!

Nope! I was wrong! It was cuz a shapeshifting witch scratched him! Mr. Crepsley, a vampire general, a badass dude who fought an entire army of vampanese, who was the only one with the balls to go against Mr. Tiny, who completely changed vampires forever, this guy! And he fucking got his face cut up because he was horny and a witch scratched him! She didn't even use magic on him! She just scratched his face!

What the fuck is wrong with these dudes?!?!

Am I the only one who finds this weird and kinda disappointing?
