Chapter 20

Daniel
It has been a month since Ong left. There are many rumors about his whereabouts. Some say he is captured by the military, some say he is dead, and some say he left this country. I highly doubt all the rumors are true tho.

Eversince that Nia chick and I hooked up, we kept seeing each other. We talked a lot and started hanging out a lot more. I think I'm falling for her. Yet, there is something wrong but I can't put my finger on it. Whatever it is, I don't care anymore.

School just ended. Me and Nia decided to eat some food in the diner nearby. We were laughing while eating our foods and enjoying our time with each other.

"Wait wait, so you actually tried to taste your cum?", she asked while laughing.

"Hey! I was young and naive! I was curious!", I said while laughing.

"You're gross sometimes you know?", she said and laughed.

We continued to eat our food when she asked me a very serious question.

"Hey Daniel, is it really true? did Ong really rape you? I mean, both of us are on the same classes so I couldn't believe he would do something like that you know? He seems pure.", she said while eating her fries. I did not know what to answer. Should I tell her the truth? If I tell her, would she tell the principal?

"Daniel, just tell me the truth. I'm not gonna tell anyone. Your secrets would be safe.", she held my hand and smiled. I smiled and admitted.

"No, Ong never really raped me. I-I just need to lie. I don't want my reputation t-to be ruined.", I answered.

"So? you two really did it?", she asked.

"Yes"

"I mean that's messed up, you know, you lying to the whole school and getting Ong suspended. But, I think there is nothing you could do anymore.  I mean, I don't support what you did but what can I do? You already did it.", she said while shrugging.

"I guess you're right. I know what I did is wrong but somehow, my pride took over me."

"It's okay Daniel, I'll be here for you. Your secrets are safe. You need to apologize to Ong though. What you did is messed up. I heard that he self-harms. He has depression I think? So what you did may fuel his depression."

I thought for a while, does he really self-harm? I shook my head and just shrugged. I need to do some thinking later.

Ong
It has been a month since I left hell. I am still working at the cafe with Ben. Chan is very supportive of us. He keeps telling us motivational quotes he searched online. It makes us laugh but I appreciate his efforts. He really is a good boss.

"Hey Ong and Ben! come here!", Chan suddenly called us. We went to his small office and sat on the couch.

"So, you both know how successful this cafe has been. Many people are liking the drinks and also the workers. They keep telling me how friendly both of you are. So, as a reward, we would be having a small vacation in Jeju. Everything is already paid! The house we would be staying, the food we will have and also the trasportation. It is just for a week though. It maybe short but atleast, we would have fun."

"Wait, for real? Thank you so much Sir Chan!", Ben said.

"Yeah, thank you Chan-hyung!", I said and bowed. We went back to work after that small announcement. I'm really happy with this.  I'm happy with my life right now. The thought of killing myself still lingers here and there but Ben is always there for me. He became the friend that I always wanted. This may not be the life I promised myself but atleast it is turning for the better. I smiled and just do my work.

Me and Ben are currently in his room while watching '13 Going on 30'. We are eating popcorn while watching. It is currently 9:45 in the evening. My eyes are slowly closing and sleep is creeping in. As I was trying to fight my sleepiness, I was shocked when Ben hugged my waist and cuddled me.

"Ong, you can sleep now. I know you're very sleepy.", he whispered and I shivered. His deep voice ringing in my hear. I blushed hard when he tightened his grip and hugged me closer. I smiled and let sleep take over me. I mumbled a quick goodnight to him and closed my eyes. I did not know if I was dreaming that time but I heard Ben say "Goodnight love, sweetdreams"
