It opened its eyes. Darkness. It couldn't see. What was it? It couldn't remember. It tried to move its legs. Its body shifted in a direction it couldn't tell. It could move! It thought, happily. It couldn't see, couldn't remember but it could move! It tested its other senses. Hearing first. Nothing, only silence. Was deaf too? "Squeak!". Though the sound was soft, it yelped in surprise. It wasn't deaf after all! And it could speak. It made another noise just to test. "Gurgle, gurgle." It couldn't see, it couldn't remember...but it could move. It could hear and speak.
