“Pay attention when you feed animals!”
Jade was snapped out of her daze by her mother. She had been daydreaming again. The wispy clouds and flowers in her mind were far better than her dull village.
“You’re barely giving them feed!”
Jade looked down to see that, in fact, the chickens were waiting at her feet for more food. She tilted the feeding pail, letting the seeds fall. Seed by seed they fell on the dirt as Jade slipped back into her fantasy. The grain sprouting into vibrant flowers and vines around h- "I DIDN'T MEAN THAT MUCH FEED, JADE!''
