The weekend has passed by like a quick blur and now it was monday once more. The first day of school week, it was my most hated day being that the usual and mundane cycle of attending school starts again.

"Ryou! Don't forget to bring an umbrella, it might rain today!"

I was in the process of wearing my shoes when I heard grandfather's yell of reminding me about the possible occurrence of rain today.

"I got it, thanks!"

I got an umbrella from the umbrella stand beside the door before eventually reaching for the knob and twisting it, the sunlight immediately sprayed its warmth unto my body. Since I was already holding the umbrella, I opened it and was successful in shielding me from the rays of the sun. With no nuisance like the hot rays of sun getting to me, I finally set out towards school.

Unexpectedly, I bumped into Masahide early in the morning. The brown haired basketball captain was yawning whilst scratching his head in a lazy manner, walking in a slow pace towards school.

I patted his back to reveal my presence and found myself falling into his pace of walking which resulted to me walking side by side with him.

"Yo, good morning."

"Morning."

On the way to the school, there was a convenient store we would pass by as it was along the road towards school. My eyes zoomed in on the doors who automatically opens when someone steps out. A familiar raven haired girl exited the convenient store holding a plastic bag, her countenance was that of a neutral one.

"Hey, hey!" Masahide excitedly said all of a sudden. "It's that Student Council President."

Ayano appeared to have noticed us as her eyes dragged over to our direction, she didn't seem surprised upon seeing me this early in the morning. For a moment, I was reminded of our brief conversation that had happened on Saturday morning. I wonder if we're already in a relationship to just casually greet each other, after all I think we had once a decent conversation.

Finally arriving at a decision, I raised my hand and gave her a wave, a greeting that I chose to use. Her expression didn't change and she just blatantly ignored my greeting with her swift turn and mobilization towards the school.

My face fell a little as embarrassment flooded me, I knew for sure that Masahide would laugh at me upon witnessing my failed attempt of greeting Ayano. I felt a nudge on my side.

"Oi, oi." Masahide said. "I didn't know you have the balls to greet someone you're meeting for the first time."

I shot him a confused look as I remembered that I didn't disclose the information that Ayano, the student council president, and I were neighbors so Masahide naturally thought that it was my first time seeing her.

"We're neighbors," I retorted and continued walking towards the school.

"Ehh!"

The day went on as usual, Sayuki clinging unto me anytime she gets and constantly showing affection that resulted to everyone's eyes being on us. Honestly, I was feeling that it was being too much however I didn't want to say that to her, taking into consideration how she would act if ever she finds out.

The door opened revealing Ayano, the chatters in the classroom grew louder. My brown almost automatically shot up, as I led my questioning gaze at her. She scanned the entire classroom with her magenta eyes and it eventually landed onto mine.

As if she finally found her target, she gestured for me to come with her. Still doubtful if it really was me, I pointed at myself and shot her a questioning look. She just nodded her head and motioned for me to follow.
