"And then I said 'if Spider-Man were my age...I'd date him.'" I said to my friend as we walked down the hall to our lockers.

"Wait. Take a step back." She said as she opened her locker door.

I smirked "okay..." I said as I took a step back.

She rolled her eyes "haha funny." She said annoyed with my sarcastic attitude "you actually told your ex you would date Spider-Man if he were your age?"

"Um yeah?" I opened my locker and grabbed my books that I needed to take home.

"You're an idiot! No wonder he broke up with you!" She laughed

My mouth dropped, a smile forming on my lips "shut up!" I laughed as I hit her arm "you know I broke up with him."

She laughed as she rubbed her arm "Yeah I know." We both looked at the tv which was on the other side of the hall.

Betty's face popped onto the screen with her usual fake news smile "yet again Spider-Man saves the day by helping with the local book fair!" Another video popped up showing a clearly fake Spider-Man jumping up and down handing an unamused student a book. "Help the local book fair by donating books for the needy! That's all have a lovely afternoon!"

"I feel so bad for the girl." My friend said as she shook her head.

"Well she signed up for that." I laughed.

We both turned our heads to see a kid had fallen onto the floor with his books scattered everywhere. He was scrambling to pick them up trying to make sure no one was stepping on them. I looked at my friend and she smiled

"Help your local student pick up his books for the needy!" She mimicked Betty. I laughed and ran up the kid quickly picking up some of his books and papers.

"Here you go." I said giving the boy a warm smile. He looked up at me and smiled shyly.

"Uh. Thank you...thank you." He smiled as he took the books from my hand.

He sounded pretty shy, I don't remember ever seeing him around the school before but he didn't seem like he was a newbie.

"I'm (y/n)." I said as I helped him up.

"I'm-I'm Peter." He smiled.

"Nice to meet you Peter."

Suddenly the TV started to make noise. We both looked up to see Betty back on the screen with her fake smile. "yet again Spider-Man saves the day by helping with the local book fair!" It was the same video from a few minutes ago.

I laughed when the video of the obvious impersonating Spider-Man popped up.

"It's so fake." I said to peter as I continued to watch.

The Spider-Man made a thumbs up the camera and peter laughed too.

"So fake." He said tilting his head to look at me "Spider-Man is much more-"

"Hot." I said still looking at the screen as I nodded.

"I was gonna say much cooler, but sure." He laughed.

"I mean he's gotta he ripped under that suit, boy if he was my age I'd totally date him."

"I can't say I agree." He said which made me look at him and laugh.

"I'm sorry, I just when I talk about Spider-Man it's like..." I motioned around my mouth "uncensored."

He smiled "no yeah I get it a lot of girls like him, but I mean, he's a superhero, he has probably an eight pack, and I'm sure he's pretty good looking under that mask. Why wouldn't they like him?"
