After rushing Areum to her school, because apparently they overslept for talking up until almost 12 midnight, Joy also immediately went back to bake cakes.

Today's the day that her former members will be coming to celebrate Wendy's birthday party.

Once she parked her car, she went out towards the entrance which have "Closed" hanging on the handle. She purposely didn't open her coffee shop today so it won't be hard cleaning for later.

What she didn't expect was Sungjae standing infront of the door, looking around.

"Hey?" Joy called and Sungjae finally noticed her presence, "What's up?" She asked.

Sometimes Joy still can't believe how the two of them can talk so comfortably right now. Maybe Sungjae is still a little shy but Joy is making an effort not make Sungjae feel restricted. She's not sure but whenever she does something like that for him, she felt better.

After the drunken night that magically fasten the pace of their closure, their friendship has never been better. Yes, Joy can finally admit that they are connected to each other by the power of friendship.

"Hey, sorry for coming without a notice," Sungjae started and Joy had to interrupt him before he could even go further.

"You don't have to apologize for every little thing you do, seriously," Joy pointed out and although her voice is serious, she was able to show him a small smile.

"Right, Sorryㅡ," Sungjae stopped, "Sorry Iㅡ"

"You're doing it again," Joy said frustratedly and Sungjae decided to just shut up. "Why are you here?"

"I just want to ask if I can bring Areum with me today? I'm out of groceries and you told me Areum likes that activity," Sungjae asked, his ears started to become red and he has this nervous look on his face, "I won't let anything bad happen to her,"

When Joy didn't answer after the amount of time she should have, he quickly added, "It's okay to say no, Sooyoung- Joy. I mean, I will accept whatever your decision is and I honestly understand,"

The reason why she wasn't able to answer was the fact that this is new. Sungjae and Areum talking, Sungjae and Areum hanging out after class while waiting for Joy to fetch the little girl is different from Sungjae and Areum being alone together far from Joy. She must admit that Sungjae's request got her taken back, it's scary. But Joy also realized that she was the one who told Sungjae about it.

It's also the perfect time since she will probably be busy later. It's also a great opportunity for Areum to see how Sungjae will be as a father; maybe not directly stated but Areum can and will most probably have a great time with him.

"Yeah, sure," She answered and it made her laugh a little when Sungjae's eyes looked like it was about to fall from it's sockets.

"Really?" He sounded very shocked and happy at the same time and Joy couldn't help but think when was the last time she saw him this mirthful.

It would be fancy to see it again.

"Yes, really," Joy replied, "I'll call her teacher and inform her that you'll be the one picking her up,"

Suddenly Sungjae's expression took a 360° turn, "Wait, what if she wouldn't want to come?"

"Oh trust me she will," Joy immediately dismissed his bad idea, "I already told you before right? She likes you,"

She can still remember what happened the day after their bonding. Joy and Areum went for a walk to the convenience store as Joy wanted something sweet and Areum suggested ice cream but they didn't have any inside the fridge.
