10 Year Old Alexandria's P~O~V

I was doing my math homework that I got from school when I heard a really loud crash come from mommy and daddy's room.

I stay where I am till the noises die down.

Since this is like the thousandth time this week that mommy and daddy fought again.  (literally)

I really don't get it , I yes I get it but it's still confusing.

You see my mommy and daddy weren't soulmates, they were in love, yes.

But my daddy never found his mate and kept on dating my mother and then soon tired of looking and searching for his mate, he ended up marrying my mother since he was to become the beta.

And my mother was a rouge before she met my father and since none of them could find their mates they married each other losing of finding their mates.

Ever since I was mommy and daddy always got in fights and hurt each other, unlike all the other werewolf families because they have all married their mates and can't even think about their mates being hurt or even hurting them.

But recently it's been getting worse as time goes on, their fighting almost all the time and I can't do anything.

And then I start crying later on as daddy slams the front door on his way out and doesn't return the whole night or even in the morning before I leave for school.

But after I return from school daddy's always home, but he's always fighting with mommy and not in a playful way either.

If this is how it's like when you don't marry your mate, then I'd rather just marry Kaleb and be done with it when I'm older.

Because I don't want to be in the same marriage relationship as my parents, EVER!

Uh oh, I can't control my tears anymore, but what I really wish is that the mythical story that Ashley Grandma told us was true.

~~FLASHBACK~~

We were all playing at Ashley's birthday when our previous alpha female came in the room and cued for every one's attention, Every one gathered around her.

And I was happy that our old Alpha Female came at this time because Kaleb and Ashley were gonna kiss.

I know this because Lindsay dared them to when we played spin the bottle at Vicky's birthday  last year, after she saw her brother do it to his girlfriend.

Ever since then Ashley and Kaleb kissed all the time and every time it would feel really bad and chest would hurt.

And this time they were gonna french kiss, because Dina dared Kaleb to french kiss Ashley and if they had kissed than I wouldn't be able to control my tears any longer.

So I stopped staring at Kaleb and Ashley and sat on the far side of the room and looked up waiting for our old female Alpha to speak.

"So by now all of you know about mates , I'm sure" she said in he commanding voice and all of us nodded.

"We also know know about soulmates and marriage." Kaleb added proudly, which made me smile even though I didn't wanna.

But because he's my soulmate I couldn't help it, but since all the others in the room at the same expression no one noticed my reason for that exprssion.

"Oh really now?" Our elder asked us as all us cubs nodded our heads.

"Then what's the difference between a mate and a soulmate?" Our elder asked looking at us with a weird expression.

"Mates is short for soulmates" piped in Dina

"Wrong" said our elder confusing us.

"It is true mates and soulmates seem like the same thing, but there is a big difference." explained our elder

"How?" asked Kaleb looking at me and turning back to face our elder.

"Well have your parents ever told you the tale of Pixie?" Asked our elder and all of us cubs shook our heads excited the story we knew our elder was going to tell us as she sat down on the big couch next to Ashley her sisters and Kaleb and his friends.

As I remember all the event I calmed down.

Ever since the first time I heard 'The Pixie's Tale' I always wished for the story to be true.

But everyone says it's just a myth and that although mates exist soulmates don't and that mates and soulmates can't exist together.

I don't get it, but if soulmates and mates could exist at the same time then I wouldn't have to marry Kaleb if I can find my soulmate.

And once I do find my soulmate my chest won't hurt when ever I see Kaleb and Ashley or Kaleb and any other girl kissing and getting along.

But thing is even as I wish this I don't believe it.

Because there can never be to or three different people you're meant to be with, right?

It's probably all a joke...........................
