-One For All (Adult Izuku Midoriya)-

You wiped your tears and continued kicking rocks down the road.

Being quirkless in a world where 90% of the population has one is horrible.

You wanted to be like Deku and Ground Zero but you were weak, quirkless, useless.

"HELP!"

Your eyes shot open and you turned to the noise. You saw a villain and a hero fighting but there was a man trapped under some rubble.

Before you could register what you were doing, your feet moved on their own. You were throwing rocks and moving concrete.

"It's okay! I'm gonna get you out!"

You got all of the rubble off but you saw something coming out of his back. You gasped while wrapping his arm around your shoulders and carrying him to the ambulance.

"Hey!"

The medics turn to you and immeaditly rush over to help you carry him.

"He has something in his stomach. He was buried in a bunch of rubble from the fight."

One of the officers ran over and held your shoulders.

"Do you know what you just did?!"

You started to feel scared. You were just trying to help.

"I-I'm sorry. He looked hurt do I-"

"You just caught one of the most wanted criminals in Japan!"

Your eyes widen and you look at the man. You were too focused before to realize the blue hair and red eyes.

You just caught Tomura Shigaraki.

You smile big and walk to the secluded park that was nearby. You had to write this down.

"Hey kid!"

You spin and try not to fan girl when the number one hero Deku steps in front of you.

"D-d-d-deku?!"

He smiles and you hold back a squeal.

"I wanted to congratulate you! I've been trying to catch that guy since high school."

Your eyes widen even more than before and you muster up the courage to ask him something.

"H-hey Deku?"

He kneels down in front of you.

"C-can I be a hero? Even if I'm q-quirkless?"

Deku's eyes widen as the memories from his third year of middle school rush back.

"Why do you want to be a hero?"

You feel excitement run through your veins as you talk about the one thing you feel passionate about.

"I want to save people with a smile. I want to give people a sense of security. I want to save and protect everyone possible, even the ones that think they can't be saved. I want to be the one that kids looks up to. I want to be as good as All Might was!"

You were looking down, nervous as to what he might say. When you got no reply, you look up and see the number one hero smiling at you.

"When you saw Shigaraki, why did you run for him?"

"I-I...my legs. They just...moved on their own. He was hurt and nobody saw him, nobody could save him so I did."

"You saved a lot of people."

You look up and tilt your head.

"You know who he is right?"

"Sort of."

"He is a dangerous villain that has been terrorizing society for years. He was the villain that attacked my class when I was a first year in UA. He is a crazy strong villain and you," he puts a hand on your shoulder, "just caught him."

The green haired hero's face lit up.

"Say, what's your name?"

'Deku wants to know my name?!'

"Y-Y/n L/n."

He puts a finger to his lips, obviously thinking. He then starts mumbling and you watch, amused with his thought process.

"Say, you really want to be a hero right?"

You nod frantically and pull out a small notebook.

"I-It's kind of embarrassing but I write a bunch of stuff about heroes in here."

Deku immeaditly thinks about his hero analysis books he wrote in when he was younger.

"Can I see it?"

You look at the hero with surprise but hand the book over. He smiles at the pages as he skims through. You even have a few pages over retired heroes like All Might and Endeavor.

"Fun fact, I used to do the same thing."

He hands you your book and pulls out an old, burnt notebook. He hands it to you and you open it.

"Wow."

You look through the pages and see Uravity, Ground Zero, even Tsukuyomi. Deku smiles to himself, he sees so much of himself in you. All he could think about were All Might's words ringing in his head.

--flashback--

"H-how do I know I've found my successor?"

All Might smiled at the hero.

"Trust me young Midoriya. You'll know."

"L/n."

You look up and hand him his notebook. He puts it away and holds out is hand. Light comes from it, making you close your eyes.

(But it's Deku\/)

"My power."

When Deku spoke, you opened your eyes and admired the raw power coming from his hand.

"It's called One For All. You can only receive it if it has been passed down to you. I am the ninth holder of this quirk."

You gulp and pay attention to the heroes words.

"You, Y/n L/n. Will be a hero."

You feel your eyes water and you hold your uniform where you heart is, clutching it as if it were keeping you alive.

"If you would accept, I can train to you withstand One For All. After our talk today, I deem you worthy of this quirk."

You look up and see that Deku's hands are now by his side. He looks at you with a smile.

"I-I'll do it!"
