Project Time twister (Avengers x reader)

Movie night

Finally, after what felt like an eternity listening to Nat and Wanda's bickering, we made it to the game/movie room. Just to enter a room full of more bickering, are they all kids? Peter and Thor were fighting over who could hold the box of strawberry pop-tarts, Thor had his hand in Peters face keeping him from reaching the pop-tarts. Tony and Steve were arguing over what movie to watch, Steve wanted a classic but Tony wanted an action movie. The rest of the team were sitting at the bar drinks in hand, acting like it was the norm, which it probably was.

The only one missing was -"boo" someone whispered in my ear, I basically repeated what I did when I got scared at Nat's room but along with squealing and jumping, I stopped time. I heard two males laughing, I knew one was Petro but who else? I turn to find the booer himself "Gosh dang-it, Bucky! why you gotta scare me like that!?!"

My exclamation only made him and Petro laugh harder, why isn't Bucky frozen? is it the hotness overload? ugh! whatever it is I need to get control "why do you scare so easily? I thought you were a secret agent" Bucky teased with an evil grin on his face "and secret agents never get scared" Petro added. I whipped my head around and gave Petro a death glare which wiped the cocky grin off his face and shut him up, then my attention went back to Bucky who was right up in my face, practically kissing distance away, which I don't know how to do. "well? you haven't answered my question" if you must know... I just don't expect to get "scared" when I'm off duty, so I'm not on high alert like I would be on a mission" I stated with my arms crossed over my chest

I was looking directly into Bucky's crystal blue eyes....why am I staring!? stop staring!!

Finally, Bucky straightens out, so to look directly in his eyes I'd have to be on my tip-toes. "what's with the time stop?" he asked me probably noticing the silence. " I know, I'm trying to control it but you're distracting me," I said turning around to try concentrating. Taking deep breaths I closed my eyes, "Oh, so I distract you?" Bucky asks huskily. I tried to ignore him but his tone made it very hard "is this distracting?" he asks in the same tone, placing his flesh hand on my hip. I need to concentrate but if I move he would just follow

So, I stood my ground, taking deep breaths and doing my best to ignore the very handsome man behind me...wait!? no! not handsome! annoying!! I mentally scolded myself for calling Bucky handsome as I kept trying to start time "please Bucky, I need to concentrate" I said, trying to wiggle his hand off my hip "Ok, doll" with that Bucky backed away, giving me space to breathe. Wait, did he just call me 'doll'? but before I could think about it anymore the bickering resumed, snapping me back to reality. I could feel the heat in my cheeks, my face was probably beat-red and apparently, Steve noticed "y/n? are you ok?"

Petro started to snicker a little knowing the reason I'm beat-red, I gave him another death glare but this time it only made him stop laughing, he still had a stupid grin on his face. "uh, yeah, I'm just really warm" I lie while messing with my hair trying to make it look like I was actually warm and trying to get my hair off my neck. "I'll go get you some cold water, that should help" I hear Bucky say behind me before he walks over to the bar. One minute he's teasing me the next he's being nice and getting me water? what is his deal? "hey oh fearless leaders, we have a movie yet?" Nat asks

Tony and Steve glare at each other, like they were mentally fighting over which movie to watch. Without thinking a blurted the first thing came to mind "what about "The Incredibles"? its got action and it's a classic cause it's Disney" Everyone agreed, except for Tony but he was out-voted, he slumped into his spot on the couch crossing his arms over his chest with an irritated look on his face. I went to go sit in a chair off by itself when I'm pushed over by Nat and land in a spot on the couch next to Bucky, I almost sat on his lap but luckily I aimed next to him instead of on him. I mumbled a "sorry" to Bucky "it's fine, Nat usually has the chair she actually pushed me out of it once" he giggled then saying "here" he handed me a glass of water, I said thanks before taking a sip and glaring over at Nat who just gave me a grin and two thumbs up

I sighed as I put my glass on the coffee table, then got comfy but tried not to invade space for on my right was a very muscley Bucky and a metal arm then on my left was an even musclier Thor. I was literally a twig compared to these two

we were at the part where Mr. Incredible is getting his new suit from Edna and I was freezing but I didn't see any blankets "you're shaking, you ok?" Bucky whispers "yeah, I'm just freezing" I whisper replied, wrapping my arms around myself, "I thought you said you were hot?" Bucky had a teasing tone in his voice again. "Oh shut up" Ok, ok, sorry doll. here" he giggled as he laid what I think is a sweatshirt over me then wrapped his metal arm around me pulling me closer to him. He was like a huge heater and I'm freezing so I couldn't help but snuggle into his shoulder

I feel something when I'm with him like nothing could ever hurt me. Safe, something I haven't felt in a long time. The next thing I know, I find myself drifting off into sleep with a soft smile creeping on my lips.
