After all this time ?

Chapter 7

Lucas pulled up outside my campus we couldn't park outside the sorority so Lucas being the gentleman he is offered to walk me.

We both got out and started to walk back to mine hand in hand, it felt natural to be close with him and to hold his hand, it was comforting.

As we got closer to the dorms I let go of his hand and just started walking next to him "Why did you let go?" He asked looking down at me

"Because I don't want everyone on campus to see us especially not the other girls in my sorority"  I stopped looking at him

I don't know what we are or if I can let this carry on.

I could be leaving in a few months why should I start something with him if it's just going to end in a few months?

That wouldn't be fair to either of us

"Ouch, am I really that bad you don't want to be seen with me" He said dramatically putting his hand to his chest, I playfully pushed him and chuckled

"It's not that Huckleberry, it's just I don't want them to ask loads of questions about us before I even know what we are" he got a bit more serious and nodded

"It's okay I understand Shortstack, well since they can't see us from here" he grabbed my waist and pulled me towards him and he leant down

I put my finger up to his lips "For that comment you can wait" I said jokingly taking my finger away from his lips and biting my own lip nervously

I turned and carried on walking "You coming or not Ranger Rick?" He came up behind me without me noticing and picked me up and put me over his shoulder

"Lucas!" I yelled as he picked me up "Put me down" I shouted trying not to laugh

"I'm just trying to make sure you get home safely ma'am" I rolled my eyes not that he could see

As we got closer to my sorority he gently placed me down, I fixed my top and shorts and hit him on the arm playfully

"Well thank you for walking me home Huckleberry" I looked around to make sure nobody was around and I grabbed his shirt and kissed him he put his hands on my waist and kissed me back, we parted both smiling "Goodnight" he whispered in my ear

I stepped away and unlocked my door waving bye to Lucas and closing the door

As I walked more into the house some of the girls were still up all giggling and talking once they saw me they stopped and turned around to ask me loads of questions about the date

I didn't want to tell them before Riley so I  jokingly putting a finger up against my lips shushing them "I don't kiss and tell" we all laughed slightly and I walked away

I walked over to Riley's room gently knocking on

"Hey Riles you awake?" I said quietly opening her door incase she was asleep

"Yeah I'm up, how was your date?" She said moving away from her desk and sitting on her bed

I blushed and looked down so Riley couldn't tell "It was good" I looked back up smiling

"Just good?" She asked curiously

"Okay so it was really great, I had a lot of fun" I couldn't hold off the giddy smile on my face

"So are you guys dating now?" She asked not really showing an emotion on her face

"No" I said quickly, I don't know.

"It's just been one date Riles" I walked over and sat next to her on the bed and changed the topic "Anyway what's going on with you and Farkle ?"

"Since you called him before you left we have been texting and I've just got off FaceTime with him, it's different Maya I never felt this way about Farkle before" she paused

"I really like him" She smiled brightly

"That's great sweetie, I'm glad you're happy"

"I'm glad you're happy peaches" we both hugged each other

"I should probably go and try to sleep"  I stood up from her bed

"Okay goodnight Peaches" She said softly

"Goodnight Riles" I said leaving her room closing the door behind me

I got to my room and opened my laptop, I quickly opened up my email and some other social media and messaged Farkle I wrote

"Hey Farkle it's Maya, there is a dance coming up since we are breaking up for a holiday in a few weeks you should come and visit us I'm sure it would make Riley very happy just don't tell her you're coming we will make it a surprise, if you can come message back and I'll send you all the details" 

Just after I clicked send my phone lit up

I didn't want to tell Lucas but I'm so worried about him riding he could get seriously hurt and I don't want anything to happen to him but it makes him happy so how can I tell him not to.
