Chapter 14

MAYA POV

I slowly opened my eyes, my head aching "ughhh" I pulled the covers over my head,

I finally woke up a little but I had such a bad hangover what even happened last night ?

I pulled the covers off my head and sat up my eyes soon adjusted to the light I moved my hand through my hair pulling it out of my face,

This wasn't my sorority where am I? I looked down and I was just in my underwear.

Okay, what happened ?

I looked around the room and found a shirt and pulled it over myself not that it covered much of me

I grabbed my heels and slowly opened the bedroom door trying to be quiet so whoever's house I was in didn't realise I was awake and I could sneak out

"Leaving already?" Shit I can't just leave now....

Wait a minute Lucas?

I slowly turned around "Friar?" I questioned trying to remember last night

Why am I at Lucas's house?

"Hart" He said smirking, he was just in some jeans probably from last night and he was topless. Wow he looks good.

But we have broken up, I need to stop thinking of him like that

"Why am I at your house ? And why did I wake up only in my underwear?" I said confused and blushing slightly

"Well at least you put on a shirt you were very distracting last night" he said walking towards his kitchen

"Yeah I took one of yours, wait what ?!" I asked following him into his kitchen

what did I do now?

"Pancakes ?" He said passing me a plate, ignoring my question

I took them and sat down at a little table he had in his kitchen "What happened last night Huckleberry" I said scrunching up my face

"god how much did I drink" I put my hand on my head and closed my eyes

He just laughed and sat down opposite me putting some paracetamol and water on the table, I took the tablet and had a sip of water

"Okay answer my questions Friar" I demanded getting impatient with him.

"Well what do you remember I'll fill in the blanks" he said starting to eat his pancakes, how is he not phased by this at all!?

"Umm, okay. I remember dancing and I definitely remember the drinks and I remember falling over but that's about it"  I said looking down this was so embarrassing

How much am I missing?

"Well I was going to mess with you but you look pretty embarrassed already" he said chuckling to himself I just rolled me eyes and started eating

"So you almost fell over and I caught you and then you did fall so I took you back to mine because you left your bag with Riley and you were too drunk to walk" he started explaining the night to me some of it started coming back,

He is incredibly sweet and I'm glad he helped me out last night but I don't want to see him after everything that's happened

"But that doesn't explain why I was in your bed and in my underwear" I still have so many questions

"Um yeah" he slightly laughed "that was all you, I tried to get you to wear one of my shirts once you were out of your dress but you kept taking it off because you were too hot"

"Oh" I felt myself going red "Sorry Huckleberry"

"I wasn't complaining" I hit him on the arm

"we broke up remember" I raised my eyebrows and the smirk fell from his face

"Yeah I remember" he said quietly looking down and we didn't speak for a while we just sat eating our food

"I like you Maya why can't we make this work" I scoffed. Is he really asking me?

"I tried to make this work, besides are you still going to keep bull riding?" I said getting annoyed again, whenever I think about it I just get annoyed

"Yeah" He said before clearing his throat

"That's why" I stood up walking back into Lucas's doom trying to find my dress I couldn't really leave in just his shirt. He soon came in

"Over here" he pointed to behind the door, I quickly grabbed my dress and started to walk out of the house

"Maya wait, at least get changed you'll be freezing" he said trying to get me to come back inside

"Ranger Rick it's too hard to be around you, so here you want your shirt back" I put my things on the floor and I took of his shirt and passed it him I then put my dress over my head grabbing my shoes and walking outside.

"Do you even know where you are ?" He said standing at the door

I ignored him opening up my google maps and looking for a restaurant or something close by I could get picked up from

I want to spend as little time as possible with him but there isn't anything for miles. I guess I am going to have have to wait here with Ranger Rick to get picked up

"Address?" I asked not looking up from my phone, he gave me his address and I rang for a cab

"I could just take you home" I shook my head

"Waiting here for the car is enough time I need to spend with you" I said leaning against a fence trying to put my heels on and thankfully he stayed silent. The car soon arrived so I hopped in and went back to the sorority.
