Artemis' POV
"How'd it go, girl?" Dad asked as I walked back into the house.
"Decently, I guess."
"Did you have fun at least, Chica?" Papa asked.
"Not really. But I'm not used to them yet. Zatanna and Rocket were pretty awesome, though."
Mindy was suddenly downstairs. "Really? What was she like? What-" She asked me a zillion other questions, which I tried to answer.
"Ok, ok," Dad said. "Time for Mindy to go back to bed."
"But-"
"No buts," Papa said. Mindy groaned and stomped upstairs to her and Mellie's room. My dads interrogated. I told them all about it. I did exclude the Wally thing from the story, though.
"Do you like doing this?" Papa asked.
"Of course I do."
"Ok, time for you to go to bed, Miss Artemis."
I smiled. "Goodnight!" I went upstairs to bed. I laid on my bed for a solid hour, staring up at the ceiling, thinking about what Wally had told me. I admit that I had a crush on him when I first joined the team, but it went away when I found out that he was a total jerk. But, now he regretted it. And he admitted that he liked me. I had no idea what would happen next. Then I looked at my alarm clock, which read 3:35 am. I panicked. I woke up at 5:30. After a while, I finally drifted off to sleep.
