A/N It's short, and you may or may not cry.

Wally's POV

I sat by Arty's side, clutching her hand like a lifeline. As if I was the one dying and not her. Mindy was clutching Justin's hand, sobbing. She had begged and begged to be allowed to come and see her big sister alive one last time. Baby Mellie was at the hotel, being watched by Chloe. They had decided not to bring her, she wouldn't understand.

As the doctor reached to cut off the machines, Mindy suddenly yanked her hand away from her dad. She ran towards Artemis and jumped on the bed. "Wait!" She started shaking Arty as hard as she could. "C'mon, Arty, c'mon! Wake up! All you have to do is wake up! Just wake up! Please!"

"That's not going to work," The doc said sympathetically.

"It was a nice try," Carlos said with tears pouring down his face. "But it won't do anything, Sweetie. Come back over here, por favor."

Mindy gave the blonde one last shake. "Come on, Arty! You only have to wake up for a second! Please, just wake up! Your life depends on it! Just wake up!"

Even though I knew that it was useless, I squeezed Art's hand. "Come on, my little spitfire! You can do it! You're just stubborn enough to!"

Suddenly, her face twitched. Everyone froze. That was more movement than we'd seen since she went into the coma. It twitched again. And again. It looked like she was trying to wake up. The doctor made no attempt to shut off the machine. There was no reason to, now that she was moving. Her eyes opened for a second. Then again. After a minute or so, they stayed open. She looked at me and Mindy confused. She saw everyone else and put two and two together.

Vitals were checked, she couldn't talk yet, but that would come back. She needed to stay hooked up to the machines for the time being. Mindy clung to her, and Art managed to drape her arm over her. I ran my hand over her hair, smiling. She fell asleep, but that was all it was; sleeping. I smiled, so, so glad that I no longer had to worry about her. It was a Christmas miracle.

A/N I scared you with my first note, didn't you. Well, there's one more chapter and it's the last one.
