i nervously follow johnny holding his hand as he guides me to the surprise

after following his commands, we stop somewhere in his backyard

"open" johnny says hugging me

i look around waiting for my vision to go back to normal "where" i say looking at the trees and bushes
in the backyard

"behind you" he twirls me around and i see
a load of lit candles on the concrete that spell words

"omg what is this" i say in shock

"read it out" he responds

"will you got- go" i say trying to read the candle

"will you go to prom with me" johnny joins in saying the last part with me

"kenzie, will you go to prom with me" he holds my hands in his waiting for my reply

i look back over at the candles, each lit one by one glistening in the darkness, steadily waving from the chilly ness of the wind, each participating in spelling out the words will you go to prom with me

"kenzie" johnny says bringing me back to reality

"um let me think about it" i joke, i look around pretending to think as johnny gives me a sad yet annoyed look

"um, OF COURSE" i say jumping into johnny's arms as he hold me, he looks over at the candles then back at me as he slowly puts me down still ahold of my waist, he pulls me in closer i smile at him before he closes his eyes i lean in making my way to meet his lips

"shit" i hear a faint voice followed by a tump
johnny and i look over interrupting the kiss that we nearly had

"sorry keep on going" i look over and see lauren who had just tripped on one of the stairs whilst trying to take pictures of us

"laurenn" johnny quietly grons before kissing my forehead and going to help her up

"aren't we gonna talk about the fact that you nearly had your first kiss" lauren says slightly squealing the last part

"no" i respond shrugging my shoulders, i was a little upset that the kiss got interrupted by lauren but i'll will redeem myself later tonight
