"May I sit here?" A husky voice asked.

The boy was towering over the bus' overhead cabinet, stood in the aisle while rested his hand awkwardly on the cushion of the front seat.

The girl looked up from her book, her deep brown eyes staring up at him. He smiled sheepishly. He had no choice but to sit with her unless he wanted to stand for 3 hours all the way to Gangwon.

She nodded. He sat next to her while glanced at her book. 'If You Could See Me Now' by Cecelia Ahern.

She put her book down and extended her hand. "Myoui Mina," she said softly.

He took her hand and introduced himself, "Kim Mingyu," He gave her his best smile. His obsidian eyes were getting smaller as his smile widened.

"Um, late again, aren't you?" she asked in a lighthearted way.

He burst out laughing. "Wow, I didn't know I'm this famous," he joked.

"Nobody will forget your face easily you know," she said calmly. He looked at her with furrowed eyebrows, it seemed like he had misunderstood her words.

"You earned us another round of punishment, remember? You, and your friends," she reminded him of that eventful day, with a little smile.

He was wearing a smug smile on his face. "Miss Myoui, you earned us another round of punishment too, remember?" he added jokingly.

She blew a raspberry. "Alright, I really am sorry," She threw her hands up.

He slightly bowed at her, "I beg you an apology too." He faked a sad face. Both of them exploded into a fit of laughter.

"Where are your friends?" she casually asked, after a while.

"They're on the other bus," he said. He was ruffling his jet black hair out of his forehead. If he meant to tame it, he failed miserably, now it was in a complete disarray instead.

"So, you have to be stuck with me, for the entire ride, poor you," she said, her nose crinkled playfully. He let out a hearty laugh.

"I guess you're super unlucky, you had no other choice but to sit with me!" he retorted. She giggled at his witty remarks.

"Well, I brought a book, in case nobody will talk to me," she mumbled. She tucked her hair behind her ears as she fixed her sitting position.

His eyes widen, clearly taken aback by her words.

"Are you sure nobody will talk to you? or you don't want to talk to them?" He challenged her. He observed her eyes, looking for an affirmation.

"Both, maybe," she guessed as she shrugged. She looked outside the window.

The bus was already entering the highway when she was looking at the other vehicles, silently counting in her head how many red vehicles were around.

"For your information only, they can't wait to talk to you, but they're shy," he whispered to her. She held her breath, as if cold water ran down her spine.

She turned her face at his direction, and unconsciously paid attention to his features. Before he realized that she had been staring, she whispered back. "So, you're not the shy type?"

It was his turn to stare at her. He shook his head. "Nope, I'm the embarrassing type," He grinned, flashing his prominent canines. She chuckled at him.

The bus stopped at the cottage where they would spend the rest of the weekend, the place was surrounded by mountains and a river.
