"Where is Mingyu?" Mina asked. She tapped her foot several times on the ground. Her arms folded on her chest, watching them with hawk-eyes since only two boys showed up instead of three.

"He was gone after the class, can't contact him." Jackson shrugged. He scratched his cheek and looked around as he felt her sharp stare dig into his soul.

"Eunwoo, do you know where he is?"

"Err, my telepathy is kinda off limits right now," Eunwoo grinned, trying to lighten the mood. Failing miserably, he glanced at Jackson, but his Chinese friend was busy paying unnecessary attention to a cut-out board next to the library's entrance.

Mina just cocked her eyebrows and puffed her cheeks. "We should keep going, shouldn't we?"

Jackson and Eunwoo nodded as Mina gave them a small smile, then they passed the automatic door entrance to the library.

They climbed the wooden stairs without a word. They scanned the already packed hall, the long table in the middle of the hall already filled with serious faces, the spots by the window also occupied by mostly slouching backs. They took a detour to the far back of the library. After some time, they found a decent place, a black sofa with a round coffee table. A little too comfortable for brainstorming a project, but they didn't have a better choice.

Jackson gave the most comfortable space to Mina, she smiled and mouthed a silent 'thanks'. Eunwoo put his duffel bag next to her and proceed to find books on the engineering section, for their references. Jackson quickly tailed him and left her alone on the sofa.

"Mingyu is asking for trouble," Jackson whispered to Eunwoo. Eunwoo heaved a sigh.

"It's just a first meeting, he won't miss much, we can cover him," Eunwoo said.

"Mina looks pissed tho," Jackson mumbled.

"I'm honestly pissed too, that ungrateful brat...he's lucky we don't kick him out."

"So, we'll divide parts based on this material, Mingyu can get the leftover, he wouldn't mind," Eunwoo said.

"Wait, who's gonna be the leader? We need one to organize," Mina asked.

"I personally want to vote for Mingyu, but-" Jackson trailed off.

"He's not here, just skip him," Mina cut him off. There was a hint of finality in her tone.

Jackson rubbed his chin and rubbed at Mina and Eunwoo alternately. "Can I vote for Eunwoo?"

"I vote for Eunwoo too!" Mina smiled. Jackson grinned at Eunwoo who looked baffled. His deer-like eyes widened and looking around aimlessly.

"Err, uhm, why-me?" He stuttered.

"Because you're capable, and you'll be a great leader." Mina said, encouraging him.

Eunwoo rubbed his nape and smiled sheepishly. For him being a leader was a rare occasion, usually Mingyu had always been the leader if they had a group project back in high school. Because everyone would naturally vote for him since he was considered dependable and friendly. Eunwoo himself would always vote for Mingyu if they happened to be in the same group.

Jackson patted his back a little too hard, until he shoved to the front. "Come on, leader! Give me your order!"

Eunwoo sniffed, "alright then, thanks for trusting me. I hope you can help me though, I pretty much need your guidance more than I can guide you,"

"Sure thing." Mina nodded. Eunwoo cleared his throat as he loosened a stiff joint in his neck.
