The house was quiet. Not the kind where silence seeps over because someone talkative is gone for a while, but the kind where you can feel the emptiness of someone's absence and the only way for that void to be filled is if they return home.

"Bennett, it has been over 24 hours can we please go to the police about our missing son?"

"He isn't missing, he is the one who decided to leave, and it is his choice if he wants to come back or not" He still felt remorse about the argument he had with Elliot just before he left, but he couldn't quite bring himself to admit that.

Nonetheless, Amelia was starting to get worried. She started thinking about the worse situations and let it play in her head over and over again until she lost her mind.

Now this family is work-oriented and they mainly focus on their work and financial needs, but they are still parents, and they do care about Elliot's wellbeing; even though at times it seems like it is second on their list of priorities.

"I don't care if he walked out, or not. He is our son, and we need to get him back before he turns into someone like that boy with piercings and dyed hair!"

"Amelia!" Bennett yelled in a cold tone as he took a firm grasp of her shoulders in an attempt to settle her down. "Elliot won't turn into someone like him; we raised him well enough for him to know what's right and what's wrong-"

"Do you not remember anything from that night?! He defended that boy who is a part of a gang and then walked out. Clearly, he doesn't know anything if he is going to side with an Ace member as opposed to his own parents!"

As they continued to yell and scream, Martin slid out of the mansion and decided to take matters upon himself. Surely there is a way to get Elliot back without separating him from Angelo, all he needed to do now was find out how.

Angelo was sat on the floor as Elliot walked around the room pretending to be interested in something.

"Talk to me."

"What?"

"C' moon Elliot, don't play dumb. You've been moping around all day staring at the same things for the past two hours and you expect me to not sense anything? I'm an idiot, but I'm not stupid" Elliot let out a happy sigh. Oddly, he felt relieved by Angelo's honest nature. "I'm glad that you picked up on it, I just have a lot on my mind right now"

"Do tell" Angelo pulled on his arms to get him to be near him, but since Elliot wasn't expecting this, he accidentally fell on top of Angelo's lap. "So-sorry" "Don't be, now talk to me. What's on your mind?" It felt strange to be sitting on Angelo's lap while facing him. His legs were on either side of him as Angelo's legs extended out. All in all, it was a comfortable position.

"Well, I guess things are just happening so quickly. I never would've thought that you and I would start this relationship and I certainly wouldn't have even guessed that I would intentionally walk out on my family the way I did. And also, I never knew that you were a part of Ace or the fact that my father knew, and I didn't and this whole thing is causing this havoc in my head, and I feel like I'm suffocating"

"Elliot, breathe. I get that things have been rough lately and so much has changed, but isn't that how life is? Hate to sound like a Hallmark card, but nothing is going to stay the same. Shit happens and that makes people change or do things that they never would've thought they would do. And me being in a gang don't change anything about who I am, you get me?"

"Yeah, I got you. It's just a lot, okay?" For a moment it was silent, but it was the kind of silence that happens to strengthen a bond. It was a moment that needed to be shared to understand each other on a deeper level.
