A/N: Get tissues. You'll need them. Get up. Get the tissues. And come back.
Remy was in deep sleep and he did not know why. Remy groaned as he started to wake up. Ow... He felt a bit of pain on his left cheek, his head, and his ears. Did I fall asleep? But how? Remy's eyes slowly opened. Ow... why do my face and ears hurt? What happened around here? He was wondering why they hurt so badly, and they both had different types of pain: there were a burning and stinging pain on his face, and it felt like his eardrums were about to explode. He slowly touched his face and ear. He didn't know the reason why, but his face and ears were covered with agony. He rubbed and massaged his face and ear to relieve the pain temporarily. He stood up and looked around. Huh? It was all dark. He couldn't see anything. He put his hand in front of his face and waved it in front of him. Why can't I see anything? Rats are supposed to have good night vision. Am I... blind...? But it seems like I can see something but I just don't know what I'm seeing, I can feel my eyes twitching. He couldn't even remember what happened before he fell asleep, or that's what he thought he was doing before he opened his eyes. As soon as he opened his eyes even wider, his eyes started to sting. Ow, what's wrong with my body? First my face, then my ear, and my eyes now? He slowly and gently rubbed his eyes to alleviate the tickle, the sting, and the pain on my eyes. Where am I? Remy thought as he looked around. But he could only see darkness. He knew that he was all alone, but also at the same time, something, or someone was around him. Then he sniffed as the odor of something was bothering his nostrils. It smells like something is... burning... wha-what is going on here? Remy still had no idea where he is. He started to be anxious. Wherever he is, he needs to know! To calm himself down, he took a deep breath. But inhaling made his lungs hurt. He fell on his side and coughed painfully as he grasped his chest. Uggh... why is it so painful to breathe? Remy was getting even more confused. He stayed in one place and tried to think. Then he realized that as time passed, it became harder for him to breathe. He decided to stand up and look around. As he walked around, his eyes, his nose, and his lungs started to hurt. What is going on here? He thought as he walked and coughed at the same time. Gotta... find... flashlight... or something... I want light... I need it... He thought hesitantly as he looked around. But no matter how much he tried, he saw nothing. Why couldn't he see anything? Did he hurt his eyes somewhere? He squeezed his eyes shut to relieve the pain for a moment, and then slowly opened again. Still, he couldn't see anything.
Is this a dream? He thought as he pinched himself. No. His own pinch was painful. This was definitely not a dream. He kept rubbing his eyes as something seemed to make his eyes hurt. Then he heard cracking sounds. He turned towards the direction where the cracking sound came from. But he could only see darkness. What was that? That was pretty loud. He was startled by the noise, but he needed to go forward. Am I even going anywhere right? He didn't even know if he was going around in circles or not. I have to find some sort of light somewhere. Light switch, flashlight, or even some matches. All he needed to find was a little bit of light. Just as he was desperate to find even a teeny-tiny-bit of light, he found a reddish, orangish, and yellowish light dancing from a distance. Light! There is a light! Just a thing I was looking for! He smiled and happily ran towards the light. As he got closer, he would be even more excited as the light became bigger. He didn't know what the light was, but he knew that he wanted it. He needed it. He ran closer, closer, closer, and closer. But then he noticed something suspicious. His smile disappeared and his footstep stopped. As he got closer to the light, the hotter he felt and sweatier he became. What is that light? He squinted to look closely. The lights seemed to get bigger as it looked like it was approaching Remy. He carefully took a small step forward. As the light got bigger, bigger, and bigger, he realized what it was. It was one of the most terrifying creatures. A creature that doesn't live, but still violently murders something easily.
