Some women know that words are not as powerful as they are made out to be. Some women know that the actions of others do not dictate their own.
But I am not one of those women. I let sticks and stones break my bones, then listen to my heart wither as the words of others determines my state. I am weak.
I am powerless. I cannot break through the barrier of self-hate and self-love. The world collapses, I collapse. I am a ticking time bomb, and as the seconds go by, I can hear more and more of the silence. I can hear the quietness of a room, I can see the blankness of a paper with no words to express how I feel.
The feeling of the cold biting your skin is a familiar friend of mine, but never soothing the burning fire that rests in my chest every day.
Who will save me now, when tomorrow is just another today, and today is a helpless day? Who will save me when the feeling of despair has taken over, and the only emotion I feel is hate for myself?
Today wasn't another today. Today was a day where the day before wasn't the exact same. Today was the day I found the ace in my deck of cards.
There he was. There was my Ace.

A/N I had to experiment with a lot of stuff and for some reason it was so easy for me to finish this. I usually take so long but this was fairly easy.
