-Chapter 3- Is that envy?

** Warning: Long Chapter**

{ Clockwork's POV }

It's been 10 days ( a week and a half ) since I've came to Slender's Mansion. I met enemies..

[ flash back to Rake and Clockwork fighting along with Clocky getting attacked by Grinny, and, last of all, Jane and her yelling at each other ]

And I've made friends..

[ flash back to hanging out with BEN and Toby (her best friends) along side with Jeff, Smile Dog and Eyeless Jack (regular friends) ]

It's sure been an experience. Toby and I have been hanging out a lot, he's one of my best friends now. Along with BEN, the first welcoming face I saw here.

Also, I forgot I had a roommate of the first night her. My roommate is BEN! That's probably one of the reason that we're good friends. Luckily, we each get our own bed. I don't want to share with him, knowing how much BEN kicks and snores.

I sleep on one side of them room, while BEN sleeps on the other, both of us having singular beds.

The room is really nice, too.

I really do love it here.

{ Narrator Thing }

BEN walked into the room, as Clockwork was sitting on her bed, drawing pictures.

"Hey, Clocky." He said, walking towards her. "Whatcha drawing?" BEN peeked at her drawing, expecting a flower or something. His eyes widened and he looked back as he noticed it was a very graphic picture of someone getting stabbed.

"Yeah.." Clockwork said as she stopped drawing, "I'm weird.."

BEN looked at her, "No, no, your not. Clockwork, your not weird, trust me. I've seen some weird things.." He said, holding Clockwork's hands and blushing a bit, making eye contact. Clockwork blush a bit, too, even if she didn't love him like that. She broke the eye contact and let go of his hands. She began to draw again.

BEN was a bit sad, but he brushed it off. He remembered something for a second and started walking to the calendar on the wall. His eyes widen once again.

"What's wrong?" Clocky said, staring at him.

"O-oh, nothing." He mumbled, not even facing Clocky. "Look, I got to go. I'll be back.. Bye." He darted out the door.

"Huh.. I wonder where he's heading too.."

{ BEN's POV }

"I can't believe I almost forgot Clocky's birthday!" I thought to myself, almost saying it out loud. Clocky's birthday was in 1 day, and I wanted to give her something special. When I was running out the door I ran into Toby.. Or he ran into me.

I never liked him. I always thought he was annoying and too awkward. I don't see why Clockwork and /HIM/ are friends. Really, Jeff and her where my only friends.. But, still, I hated Toby.

"O-oh, sorry, BEN." He said, stuttering. He was probably being sarcastic or something. I bet he forgot Clocky's birthday, and is never going to get him a present!

"Where are you going?" I asked him.

"I'm going to go deliver this present to Clocky," He said with a smile, "it's an early birthday present.. I just couldn't wait for her to open it any longer, ha! Where are you going?"

"Oh, I-.. Um.." I can't say I'm going to buy Clocky something! That ass, trying to kiss up to Clock! Hm.. I'll show him.. I'll get Clocky the best present ever! "I.." I know.. "I'm going to go talk with EJ about some thing."

"Oh." He said, "Then I'll let you get going, I guess."

Yes! I got away.. Now about that present.. What should I get her?

Something special..

Hmm..

I know!

{ Toby's POV }

When trying to deliver a present to my friend, I ran into BEN. Ugh. I hate him, to be honest. He's always trying to be better then me.. I hate it!

After him lying to me about talking to EJ, I walked into Clockwork's room.

"Hey.." I said, walking into her room to see her drawing on her bed. Probably gore.

"Ever heard of knocking?" She laughed.

"Oh.. Yeah." Still inside the room, I knocked the wall and chuckled.

Clockwork smiled, "So, what's up?"

"Oh.. I.. Um.." I blushed a bit, "I got you an early birthday present.. I just couldn't wait any longer!" I handed it to her and fake smiled, lightly.

She opened it, and her smile grew a wider as ever.

{ Clockwork's POV }

It was a stuffed giraffe. Not the exact one from my childhood, but it looked exactly like it. I hugged it. It was special. Not because it was a clone, because of who it was from.

Toby.

So, it was special.

I hugged it so tight, I almost cried of Joy.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!" I said to Toby.

"I'm glad you like it.." He grinned.

I ran to him and hugged him, the giraffe still in my hand.

Toby's cheeks flushed pink, not expecting a hug.

Suddenly, BEN walked in.

"Clockwork-" BEN gasped, seeing us hug.

'P-probably just a.. A friendly hug.. Right?" He thought to himself.

I flushed pink. "Oh, hi-" I was about to say how it's normal but BEN stormed out of the room.

Okay.. That's a bit weird.

Maybe.. Maybe he likes me?

No, no, he probably doesn't. It's just me..

{ BEN's POV }

How could he hug my girl?! I mean, I know where not dating yet, but still! That little bitch! I hate Toby.. I hate him so much!

I ran outside.. I need to cool off.

Why do I even care, though? It's not like I like Clocky..

Do I?

Shit.. I think- I think I do...
