Jaune: with all due respect professor ozpin they know me too well and no offense many are too egotistical for my training

Ozpin: explain?

Jaune: Weiss does not trust me yang solution for every problem is to hit head first without thinking of a plan Nora is the same Ruby is too reliant on her weapon and Blake is to distant I believe she has trust issues

Ozpin: I agree that can be an issue but what about mr. Ren in Miss Nikos

Jaune: Ren has sought me out for training I suppose I could train him first and I will try my best to work with the others my sons had their own quirks Leonardo could never accept failure Donatello was always to relying on his machine Michelangelo was always one who never took his training seriously and Raphael was always angry I always struggle to keep his anger in check but I will have to disguise it as practice not training otherwise they will not listen

Ozpin: you have a point to them you are their friend not their teacher so getting them to listen to you is going to be difficult alright then what would you need

Jaune: do you have any bamboo

Ozpin: bamboo?

Jaune: one thing I notice is that they are used to fighting and open area but have no experience in closed spaces Ruby's weapon especially it will be difficult in that kind of scenario so I must training to be get used to a more spacious environment

Ozpin: good point I will prepare bamboo for you

Jaune: thank you he then takes his leave

Glynda: are you sure about this?

Ozpin: he does raise a good point they are used to fighting and open environment but what if they have to fight in a closed space they need to get used to fighting all sorts of environments

Glynda cannot argue Jaune did raise a good point

The next day Jaune led team Ruby and team juniper to the combat area which is now a bamboo forest of varying levels of height thanks to his instruction

Ruby: what's this what's with all the bamboo?

Jaune: headmaster ozpin wanted us to train in this kind of environment he made we are to track one another but without damaging the bamboo now everyone get on top of the bamboo

No one argued and got on top of the bamboo on the top of the artificial Forest

Nora: this is hard it's hard keeping your balance

Jaune: that is the point balance is an essential thing of a warrior

Ruby: but I'm already super balanced I do carry crescent rose

Jaune: balance is not just about the body but also the mind you must fight without thinking

Weiss: fight without thinking that's stupid

Jaune: I assure you it is not if you allowed through your mind to be clouded by too many thoughts it will give your enemy the advantage

Jaune: allow me to demonstrate try and hit me with everything you have without damaging the bamboo

Weiss did not argue and smirked as tried to hit him with a rapier what Jaune dodge like it was nothing

Weiss became upset and tried to hit him with her rapier a few more times each time missing the most insulting part was Jaune was not even looking his eyes were closed the whole time

Weiss: how are you dodging your eyes are closed

Jaune: because I'm listening one must be relying on not just one sense one must use all the senses in combat with my mind clear I can clearly hear the sound of your rapier as a thrust it makes sound for the wind which I can actually predict

Weiss is not happy

Jaune: if my mind was too busy trying to think of dodging your rapier I would never be able to dodge as my mind would be too focused you would get an opening

Weiss is angry but honestly sees Jaune's point if she was too busy distracted trying to dodges attacks she would be hit in only a matter of time

Jaune: your next Ruby I remember try to hit me without damaging the bamboo

Ruby used to amazing speed to try to hit Jaune has she tried to hit  and with her scythe Jaune took a few steps forward and easily caught the blade on its handle

Ruby: why what happened

Jaune: you were too predictable you always rely on the first attack to take down your opponent but if your opponent knows what you're going to throw at him or her you can easily counter

Ruby decided to take that lesson to heart

Yang you're next he said

Yang used her gauntlets shooting on him but he easily dodged each time she didn't want for close-quarters combat tried to hit him with her fist but he kept on predicting her movements she allowed her anger to get the better of her and was about to strike them again when he caught her arm twisting it putting her in a hold

Jaune: not good you rely too much on your anger which makes you sloppy and predictable it may work against the mindless creature but against the better trained fighter you will lose each time

Yang was not happy to hear this but she knew he was right her father had told her that so many times

Jaune each of you has a unique fighting style that would work against the Grimm but remember as huntsman your only opponents will not be Grimm it will also be against criminals bandits and murderers they are not mindless like the Grimm they will have technique and skill you must fix your flaws if you want to come to them

team RWBY did not like hearing this but after their encounter with Roman torchwick they knew this was all too true they were so used to fighting the Grimm they had no real experience fighting humans or faunus

Team JNPR so how easily their leader defeated three members of team RWBY with relative ease and took his lessons well Pyrrah quickly figured out that this was a training exercise and he was the teacher Nora was listening carefully not daring to question her fearless leader and ren was carefully analyzing his techniques so he could implement them

Weiss: who are you you're too wise to be just 17

Jaune: I learned from the greatest teacher life let's just say before I came here I had a difficult life

This was not too far off the truth when he was mutated Master splinter was forced to dig through trash and hide in the shadows of New York City to survive and the feed his younglings

Jaune: I only tell you this once when you're dealing with an opponent who prioritizes survival above all Else the fight will never be easy

Weiss knew this to be too true but was still upset she wanted to know who Jaune Arc really was her family's connections could find nothing on them but yet he was too skilled to be normal

Blake payed close attention to his lesson also figuring out that he was the teacher in this she wanted to know what he meant that he had a difficult time

Jaune: with that all out the way let's end this for now we will continue this lesson until you all fixed your weaknesses or make them less obvious

They got down from the bamboo and left but many were wondering the same question
