Jaune Arc is Master Splinter

That night the girls of team RWBY were in their dorm wondering the same thing how did Jaune Arc beat them so easily

Yang: I know that guy is tough and all but man I did not think he would predict my move so easily well I guess Dad was right if I always let my anger get the better of me I'll become predictable

Blake: you're not as mad as I thought you would be

Yang: it was a lesson and despite my playful demeanor I take my classes very seriously especially combat class

Weiss: well at least you were not humiliated like me I couldn't even get one strike in and the whole not thinking while you're fighting is just ridiculous

Blake: actually it's not because his mind was not so focused on trying to avoid your strikes he could predict your movements and avoided them

Ruby: is he right am I too reliant on my weapon

Yang: I don't want to say this Ruby but he's right you need to learn how to fight because what if you lose your weapon during combat

Blake: but what was the point of the bamboo

Yang: it's like you said balance and I suspect he did not want us to damage the bamboo cuz he wants us to get good in fighting in closed spaces

Blake: I see your point most of us are so used to fighting in the open but we really don't have any techniques or if we're enclosed in a small space

Yang: exactly Ruby your scythe can also become a spear learn the thrust so that even if you're in an enclosed space you're able to fight your way out of there

Ruby: you're right Yang I should do that and Weiss Jaune's right do you need to let your anger go and listen to him

Weiss: I just can't except him, I was trained by the most skilled teachers and all of Atlas and I was defeated by that nobody and he wasn't even trying and that insult to injury his eyes were closed

Blake: no matter how good you are there's always going to be someone better

Weiss was not happy hearing that but knew that was correct

At team JNPR room

Pyrrah was wondering how skilled her partner really was but she did pay attention to his lessons and he was right ons must know how to fight in an enclosed space as well as an open space

Nora was practicing techniques with her hammer so she could fight in an enclosed space when she didn't have a lot of swinging motion

Ren was trying to focus by meditating despite his years of martial arts you could tell that if he faced jaune Arc in combat he would lose in seconds so he decided to listen to his lessons very well

The next day back in the bamboo forest

Jaune was waiting on them bamboo standing only on one leg when the rest of his teammates and Friends arrived

Jaune: I see my lessons have gone through your heads are you ready to begin

Ruby: always

She decided to go first and this time made her sight into a spear

Jaune: let us begin

she started circling around Jaune leaving her petals all around in circles making her patterns less predictable

Jaune was honestly impressed and was about to be struck from behind when he caught it with two fingers

Jaune: you have approved greatly in such a short amount of time and nice work with the pedals and major movement less predictable the next time try not screaming loudly when you're about to strike you're just telling your opponent where you are

Ruby: thank you for the lesson I'll take that to heart

Jaune: Weiss you're next

she gets on top of the bamboo and changes her form making a difference from yesterday

Jaune: I see changing your stance to try to confuse me very well

Weiss charges in in this time does not try the thrust at him with every stride she's flashes thrust and tries to kick him a few time each time missing but closer to him then before

Jaune catches her arm in the next strike

Jaune: much better you have greatly improved not allowing your anger or jealousy to get the better of you with much more practice you'll become a skilled huntsman in no time

Weiss: I always seek an opportunity to learn

Jaune: you're next Yang have you learned your weakness and eliminated or make it less obvious

Yang got on top of that bamboo and ready to herself shooting a shotgun gauntlets at maximum speed

Jaune: too predictable

she then jumps over him avoiding his strike and tries to hit him from behind but he counters and blocks

Jaune: less predictable but still obvious begin countdown combat and don't be too reliant on your fist your entire body is a weapon

Yang: yes sensei

Yang: begins hitting her strikes using kicking and punches trying to pressure him so he would make a mistake and she can get a clean hit in

But for the former Master splinter he was used to this aggressive style when training Rafael so he could predict every move she was about to make

She caught the next one and get a circle throw throwing her off the bamboo and landing on the floor her Aura cushioning her fall

Jaune: most impressive you have greatly learned from the point I was trying to get across each of you are skilled in your own way your skilled fighters but you must improve you are so used to fighting mindless creatures that you have no real combat technique for intelligent fighters learn from this improved become a fine weapon that is refined to its sharpest point only then will you be coming true huntsman

He then looks at Blake

Jaune: Blake your most obvious weakness is your trust issues remember then no one can do anything alone and those who have tried have failed miserably

Blake knows what he's talking about but still she has hard time trusting others with her secret how did he know is what she is wondering

the rest of them continue their lessons with Jaune are slowly realizing that he was the teacher of the whole lesson

Through his teaching they learn that their weaknesses were too obvious and to be better at hiding them until the point where they can get rid of their obvious weakness entirely

Jaune was meditating on the roof that night getting a feeling that something was about to come but I could not tell what the only thing he could tell was it involve fire the city burning and a giant dragon-like creature

He stopped meditating and started breathing heavily

Jaune: something is coming I must train them to be ready and I must train myself to be ready to I'm no longer just a teacher I am a warrior now too this is my fight as much as theirs
