HARMONY'S POV:

I asked Blake if I could get my old job back and he agreed immediately. So, I'm resuming work today.

I got dressed in a black pencil skirt and white button down shirt tucked in. I paired the outfit with black  stiletto heals and set out to Leave.

I got to the office and everyone welcomed me back. Blake called me into his office and tried explaining why Adrian is his best man. I told him I was cool with it.

The day dragged on a little too slowly for my liking. After closing I drove home. I got out of the car taking my bags when I heard his voice
"H..harmony" I could never forget that voice. I turned swiftly to see if my ears were playing tricks on me and I was right. It was Adrain standing there looking as handsome as ever. He had grown a few beards making him more manly. Eww, I hated beards
"Can we talk?" I just ignored him and continued getting my bag which is somehow stuck.

I turned to leave but he held my arms. I glared at him and he immediately let go
"We have nothing, absolutely nothing to talk about" I thought I lost my voice but thank God I was able to get the words out
"I understand. You don't have to say anything let me just say a few words and then I'll leave. I promise" he looked desperate. I have missed him so much and want nothing more than to hug him right now. Shut up harmony. Have you forgotten what he did to you. I folded my hands signaling him to state his business
"I'm sorry, I should never have raised my hands at you. It's a mistake I'll never forgive myself for. Harmony I'm sorry for all the times I made you cry, for all the times I fought with you, for the times I made you feel unloved. I finally realized how important you are to me the day you left. I felt like my whole world had ended and I couldn't bare it cause I pushed you away, I pushed my other half away. Please forgive me baby, I...I love you." His eyes glistened with tears but I didn't fall for it
"So because I came back and you've seen I'm not completely ruined, you have suddenly realize you love me? That's bullshit Mr Stone." I tried walking past him but what he asked next stopped me
"Don't you love me anymore?" My heart beat sped up.
"I know you do deep down, but you no longer trust me. I'll come here every single day to ask for your forgiveness. I don't care if I have to sacrifice my life to earn your forgiveness but I will. No woman is worth disrespect, but I disrespected you and I'm going to spend the rest of my life making up for it. I'll make you love and trust me again. I swear to you Harmony Beverly Harrison" I turned to glance at me and he winked at me.
"If you think I'm going to forgive you that easily, then you'll have another thing coming" I walked up to try door when he yelled
"I accept your challenge" I just smiled and went inside.

Luckily, today was public holiday and also friday so I didn't have to go to work. I decided to clean a little and then go visit my parents later in the evening.

I was busy doing my dishes when my doorbell rang. I went to answer the door only to find Adrain grinning from ear to ear.

Being the clumsy idiot that I am, I slipped but he immediately caught me. We stared into each other's eyes before I pulled away
"Are you falling for me already?" he smirked
"Oh please, get off your high horse." I looked at his hands to see him carrying a basket of fruits
"Oh, I got this for you" I couldn't help but laugh
"Seriously, is this how they woo girls where you're from?" He smiled sheepishly
"Yes, and also I'm here to help you with anything today." He entered my apartment. He said he would help me with anything, so an awesome idea popped into my head
"Did you say anything?" I crossed my hands. He dropped the basket and bowed
"I'm at your service milady" I smirked. This will be fun. Mua ha ha hahaha. I laughed in my mind

After cleaning my house, sweeping, vacuuming, washing my clothes and doing the remaining dishes, I asked him to clean my car. what?, Im not mean. He deserves to be punished a little. All this while, he didn't once complain. I guess he's really serious about wanting me back but, I'm not stupid to give in to him just yet. He has to work hard to get me

It was already evening and Adrain was in the garage washing 'Mark'. I decided to get ready in the meantime. I put on a red halter neck dress which accentuated all my curves. I let my hair flow down my back and put on some heels. I went on to do my makeup, yes you heard me right, I now know how to apply makeup (🤭)

I went into the garage to check if he was done with my car but, I was blessed with such a sexy sight. Adrain was shirtless with sweat running down his back. I wish I could reach out to him and wipe it away. My eyes couldn't stop staring at his biceps and his gorgeous eight packs. How can someone be this hot? It should be a crime punishable by law.

I saw the way his eyes filled with lust travelling down my body, making me shiver a little. He smirked knowning fully well the effect he had on me and that I was shamelessly checking him out
"Take a picture babe. It lasts longer" he smirked
"You know what?, Maybe I will" I brought out my smartphone and took picture of him. He laughed at my action.
"Your car is ready milady" I thanked him and turned to enter the car when the yanked me causing my body to collide with his. My hands instinctively went around his neck as I stared at his face
"You look gorgeous" I looked away and blushed profusely.

We continued staring at each other with our lips getting closer. Wait what am I doing?, I cleared my throat and pulled away from him
"Thank you" I got into my car and drove out of the building. I didn't know I was holding my breath until I was finally in the car. This is going to be harder than I thought.

I don't want to make this easy for him,  i don't want a situation where he'll take me for granted again. I drove to my parents house with the thought of Adrain on my mind. Oh how I have missed being pressed up against him and feeling his hot breath on my body.

Agh.... Get out, get out, get out of my head. Luckily I was able to drive home safely.

I rang the doorbell twice before getting a response. My mom opened the door and looked stunned. She immediately hugged me
"We've missed you so much Harms. Why didn't you at least call just once, so I could be assured my baby was okay." I smiled as she let me in
"Honey, who's that?" My dad walked in from the kitchen holding a spatula. He immediately dropped it as he came to engulf me in a tight hug. I have to say this but, nothing can ever beat the hugs and kisses you receive from your parents
"Come, let's eat" dad pulled me to the kitchen

We had dinner and I narrated all that has happened to me for the past year. My dad got a bit upset when he heard Adrain was pursuing me again but, I told him to just let it go besides, everyone deserves a second chance and to prove they've changed.

This is Adrian's last chance to prove himself to me, to show me if he truly loves me. Sometimes, it's very important to show a person how precious they're to you and much you value them in your life.

We women can be strong and independent too and, when we love, we love wholeheartedly with no restrictions and its nice for us to be treated as prized possessions as we are the carriers of life
