｡SYNOPSIS
It wasn't as if Paul Lahote and Elise Stutfield hated each other. They had many disagreements, sure, but there was never any loathing. They were polar opposites; she was intelligent beyond her years and found solace in books and music, while he played sports and liked physics and biology. Having moved back and forth from the La Push reservation from the age of four, each time Eli returned she had changed a little bit more, not always for the better. She could say the same about the people she had grown up with. Leah and Seth Clearwater still acted like her siblings where her brother didn't succeed, Quil and Embry still teased her about her height or lack thereof, and Sam still ruffled her hair whenever he'd see her.
But, when she returned at the age of sixteen, she didn't realise she had arrived at the point in time where things were beginning to change. Her friends were maturing and finding the most irrelevant things to set each other off; her family's relationship was either mending or becoming significantly worse; and Paul Lahote was acting strange. Well, stranger than usual.
