Summary: the rouges have been pardoned and were not expecting a 16 year old boy to be at the compound

Peter held his gaze on the whiteboard at the front of class, he couldn't be bothered no matter how hard he tried. He was tired, beat down and just struggling to stay awake, yet he did his best. He always did.

Today was meant to be a good day, he was meeting Tony after school at the compound and he was staying for the weekend as well, pepper had invited him over, something about an overdue family dinner, yet he couldn't seem to smile, let alone force a smile on his face. He didn't have the energy or motivation to, despite knowing the fact that it was meant to be a good day, he knew deep down something was wrong. Very wrong. Call it an instinct or such but when peters phone went off during class and he saw it was happy he knew something was definitely wrong.

He grabbed his phone frantically and answered the call, holding it out on loudspeaker, he knew the classroom rules.

"Happy what's wrong you never call me during school, is something wrong with Tony?" He rushed out, worried, already packing up his things messily despite the protests from his teacher.

"Yes it's Tony kid, he's having another panic attack and no one can calm him down, not even pepper. Just hurry up we're worried."

Peter nodded and hung up, despite happy not seeing the kid nod his head he knew peter would be there in a minute or so. Despite that, peter ignored the shouts of protest from his teacher and ran through the halls, not having enough time to shove on his whole suit he just slipped his mask on and quickly swung through the city, desperately trying to reach the tower.

When he slipped his mask off in the alleyway by the tower and walked into the front lobby, scanning his pass and waiting for the private elevator he couldn't but help wonder what set Tony's panic attack off. It could of been many things and peter couldn't think of today being important in any way.

But when the glass doors of the private elevator slid open smoothly and quickly, peter couldn't help but curse loudly.

"Language-"
"Fuck Off rogers."

Some of the rouges stared in shock at the young teenage boy who had just cussed out the captain America where as Rhodey and pepper were slightly smiling proudly, but their faces then quickly contoured into one of panic, "Pete we cant calm him down we've tried everything"

The petit boys nods and rushes to the lab, scanning his pass and entering the room, his eyes scanning for Tony. That's when he saw him, his mentor, his father figure backed into a corner, his breathing irregular, tears streaming down his face and his hand clutched to his chest. He was having a panic attack about Siberia. The bunker. Steve and Bucky.

Shit.

Peter steadily made his way towards Tony, careful not to touch him or make any sudden movements, he knew if he did tony would attack him and then feel guilty about it later despite peter telling him he was fine. So he sat there. His legs crossed and his hands clasped in his lap and began talking softly. About school. Spider-Man. His friends and then finally how he felt.

"You know... I see you as my dad sometimes. There are times where I wish you could just hold me like my father used to and lull me to sleep, to fight away all the bad dreams and keep me safe, you think I shouldn't look up to you because you're a bad influence but I think you're amazing. Not because your iron man, but because you're tony stark, a man who revolutionised science and technology and the man who finally helped bring along world peace. So, uh I love you dad."

Peter let his gaze travel up to the man who was still in the corner, but this time instead of tears the man was looking at the boy with such wonder and adoration in his eyes you would've thought he was that boys father, you could just see the two had a bond.

Tony and peter smiled gently, no words needing to be exchanged as they helped each other up, the man wrapping a loving arm around the boy and the other quickly shoving itself into his pockets, "so how about we have a movie night tonight? Me, you, pepper, Rhodey and happy if he agrees" the doe eyed boy looked up and nodded, not leaving his mentors side or even the comforting grasp the older man had him enclosed in.

"That sounds nice mister stark"

The rouges were sitting peacefully in the living room watching a movie the next time they met peter, or as they called him 'mystery boy'. No one knew his name, but they knew he stayed on weekends and had a room in the tower. So when the private elevator doors swung open and a boy with a mop of brown hair and doe eyes came dancing in, listening to music very loudly, some couldn't help but stare or even smile at the boys adorable antics.

After a few minutes the boy turned around and faced the rouge avengers, a shocked look plastering his face as his eyes were wide and his mouth hung slightly. Clearly not expecting anyone to be there or even watching him. He coughed and scratched his neck harshly, a habit he had picked up from mister stark when he was nervous or worried, slowly he waved and pulled his headphones off reluctantly, stuffing them into his bag and placing it down on the table.

"Ummm... hey guys? Sorry about last time I was kinda in a rush to get to mr. Stark and sorry for swearing. Anyways my name is peter. Peter Parker."

The boy, or peter as he had just introduced himself as, held out his hand awkwardly. Steve shuffled towards the young boy, his body towering over the teens and graciously shook his hand.

"Hey peter. I'm captain America, but you can call me Steve okay?"

The boy was about to nod before Fridays voice echoed throughout the room.

"Peter, mister stark has requested your presence in the movie room, he says there is pizza and Star Wars."

After that the petit boy rushed off, but not without one final wave to others. The others shared a look and knew that whoever this boy is, he was special.
