Self love

The words in this poem may ring true.

Because in a way, I'm talking to you.

Why do you find it so hard to call yourself beautiful? But you'll easily call yourself a whore.

You should know the things in you are wonderful. You need to love yourself more.

You think you're not adequate. Always putting yourself down.

Stop looking in the mirror, if you're going to wear the unjust frown.

Find the things you love about yourself and hold them up high.

How are you ever going to be happy, if you can't see yourself through others eyes.

Acknowledge your beauty and take care of it with pride.

I don't mean with make up and clothing. But the way you feel inside.

You see the same fault in others. And correct them with pretty words.

But the self disgust in you, comes up to the surface and lurks.

Take your own advice and correction. Use it for yourself.

Stop with the flaw detection. And release the self lust you've withheld.

Love yourself wisely. You have the power to be confident.

I'd love to see you smiling. And giving yourself a compliment.
