Remain

You probably won't understand what this means to me. I'm not going to tell you either. You can make your own decisions about it.

I come to you to get closer
And watch as you pull away
I'm pulling at my hair
Wondering why you stay

I try my best to understand
Try and find what's on your mind
Darling please release to me
I'm trying to be so kind

Why would you be with me
When your mind is no longer here
Why do you stay in this pain
And hurt those that you held dear

I'll never wrap my head around it
As to why you just exist
When you could be happy if you let go
But it seems that you insist

Your hand grips mine tightly
Like I'm your very last chance
So listen to the music with me
Hold me tight and dance

I think we need a goodbye
I know that you believe
So, go and reach for the sky
I love you, but you need to leave
