Chapter 3

Applejack sighed shakily, as she sat down for lunch. Looking to the right, she caught a glimpse of Rarity Gem sitting with Spike Dragon. They sat closely, and fawned over each other.

Looking ahead, the lunch line was heavy, and looked like it'd clear up in several minutes. Never mind that though. Applejack didn't need to eat. She knew she was on the pudgy side, and needed to slim somehow. She'd just get one serving.

"Hey. Mind if I sit here?"

Applejack jerked her head, and found her eyes resting on the girl she nearly ran over from before.

"Uhm, sure. Ah could use the company," she replied awkwardly.

The girl sat down, wearing a jean jacket and ripped pants, and her hair was a mind boggling spectrum. All the colours of the rainbow. Her eyes were a soft, deep magenta, and her skin was a nice tan, much like Her own.

"The Name's Rainbow Dash. I'm just sitting here till my friends get their lunch," she smiled, setting her tray of food in front of her.

"Nice ta' meet ya. I-I'm Applejack Apple," she smiled, trying to make a good impression.

"Say, about earlier, I wanna tell ya', there's no hard feelings, babe."

Applejack stiffened. "Did y'all just call me,'Ba-'"

"YO! DASH!"

"Over here, Soarin!"

A guy with spiky hair slammed his tray down next to Dash, and sat down, followed by other guys just walking over to the table. One guy made room by shoving AJ off the bench.

"Move it, Loser," the big guy said, in his deep voice, rather muscular.

"IronWill, that's no way to treat a lady," Rainbow Smirked. She stood up, hiding something behind her back.

"You help her up when she falls."

AJ's heart fluttered as the beautiful girl helped her up. "Sorry for this, Jackie. honestly, I don't wanna do this, but I have a reputation to uphold," she whispered quietly as she helped AJ to her feet, quickly coming up with a nickname.

Raising her other hand in the air, she beheld a bowl of steaming soup. "Dash..." Applejack looked at the soup fearfully.

"And fucking laugh at her when she gets humiliated!"

Suddenly, AJ's face and scalp was burning, as the hot liquid was poured on her head. It wasn't scalding hot, but it was hot enough to burn and hurt.

She felt tears come as she suppressed a scream of pain. The whole cafeteria's eyes were on them. An uproar of laughter and applause rang out, as AJ turned and ran off, forgetting her backpack.

She ran into the girls bathroom, releasing her tears. Her eyes became fountains, red and puffy.

Her face was a twinge of red too, due to the hot soup that made her hair sticky.

She cried and cried, looking in the mirror. "Ah can't believe it! She said no hard feelin's! And there she goes spilling soup on me. Gosh, and ah trusted he-"

"Rainbow actually told you she has no hard feelings?"

Applejack turned again, to find a girl with pale skin and pink hair. Her frame was thin, and she looked weak. She too wore a sweater.

"That's so unlike her. You know, to say,'No hard feelings.' Sounds like soft feelings to me." There was a long pause, as Applejack just stared at the ground.

"How rude of me. Sorry, I'm Fluttershy," she said, sticking out her hand.

Applejack shook her hand, and recited her greeting.

"So, Applejack. What did you do to Rainbow that caused no hard feelings," She asked, moistening a paper towel with cold water and handing it to her.

"Nearly ran er' ove-"

"RAN HER OVER?!"

Applejack nodded slowly, as she dabbed her face with the paper towel.

"Jeez! Me and her were the best of friends, and one day, I accidentally stepped on her foot, and she just started ignoring me! And YOU ALMOST RAN HER OVER AND SHE DOESN'T CARE?!"

Applejack shrugged, her skin returning to its tanned perfection.

Fluttershy handed her another wet towel, and she used it to get the bits of noodles and carrots out of her hair.

Suddenly, the bell for the last period of The day rang. "Well, it was nice to meet you, Applejack. What period do you have next?"

"Home Ed."

"Damn. I have PE. Well, see you," she smiled, adjusting her backpack and skipping out.

Applejack stayed in the bathroom a minute more, before deciding to leave school early.

"Ah just don't feel well. I guess ahm real home sick," Applejack fibbed to the nurse.

Nurse Redheart pursed her lips, and nodded.

"Alright. You can go."

Applejack nodded as well, exiting the school, and going to her car. She got to the pick up, and reached into her pockets. She gasped when her keys weren't there.

"Dammit," she cursed under her breath. She looked inside the car for a moment, before jumping at a voice behind her.

"Looking for this,"the raspy voice asked, and she spun around to face Rainbow Dash really close to her face.

She looked at her hand, and found her backpack. "Yeah. And what's it to ya'," she grunted, snatching the bag.

"Jeez, Bae. The least I could have is a thank you," Rainbow laughed.

"Don't deserve it, and stop calling me that," AJ angrily said.

She fished through her backpack, and pulled out the keys.

"Why should I?

Unlocking the door, she got in, throwing her backpack in the back, and slamming the door, ignoring her question.

Suddenly, the passenger door opened, and Rainbow Dash sat down, closing the Door too.

"Where we going?!"

Applejack gave her an incredulous look.

"Nuh-uh. Out!"

"But I wanna Apologize, Babe," Rainbow begged, turning and crossing her legs.

"Why? Just so ya can pour more soup on me? And don't call me,'Babe,' Anymore!"

"No! Because you're really pretty! And I'm sorry I did that to you, but I'm not gonna act like a softie in front of my people! I'm so sorry."

Applejack felt her temperature rise.

"A-Ahm not pretty. If anythin', ahm a dumb ol' cowgirl. Least it's what everyone's buzzin' 'bout."

Rainbow Dash sighed.

"Just know that I didn't mean it. And that I truly am sorry. And for anything else that will happen in the future, sorry for that too. I'll tone it down though."

With that, she got out of the car, and headed to her motorcycle.

"Tone it down? Things in the future!? What the buck is wrong with this idiot," Applejack snarled.
