"How'd it go?" My dad asks, as I enter the hospital room.

"I'm the snow queen" I say, bluntly, Plopping down in a chair.

"It's still a good part!" My mom smiles.

"But it's not Clara" I mumble.

"You're her understudy" Ryder adds.

"Even worse! I'm Kendals understudy" I whine.

"No whining!" My mom snaps "It is an amzing part Ava, You and-"

"Jordan"

"have a nice duet and you'll be in your favorite dance waltz of the snowflakes"

I shrug "I guess"

"But Sophie did get the sugar plum fairy" I smile.

"Oh that's amazing" My mom smiles.

We continue talking until it was time to go, Me holding in my anger the whole time.

I was a little happy taking a break from competing for the nutcracker.

I just hope Kendal stays humble.

"Hey babe" Will smiles, clasping his hand in mine.

"Hey" I smile, ksising his cheek.

First day back at school as the girlfriend of high school royalty...Okay.

We walk into school and go find our friends.

"Sophie you owe me ten dollars" Justin says, stuffing his face with and apple.

Sophie sighs and hands her boyfriend ten dollars.

"You bet on us?" I ask.

"Yeah" Sophie laughs walking over to me and hugging me "How have you been doing"

"Alright because I haven't had to deal with Kendal" I admit.

"What's going on?" Justin asks.

"That brat Kendal got Clara insted of Ava" Sophie explains.

"What aprt did you get and why didn't you tell me?" Will asks.

"I'm the snow queen and Claras understudy" I state "And I didn't tell you because I didn't want to bore you with my rant"

"Have you told Paisley?" Jordan asks.

I groan "No, She's going to be so dissapointed"

"No. She'll be proud of you!" Jordan smiles.

"Sure she will" I scoff.

"On the bright side, we get prettier costumes thank Kendal" Sophie laughs.

I laugh too "Tutus and rinestones, I'll be in my happy place"

"Jordan don't drop my girlfriend on her head" Will states.

"I haven't yet" Jordan shrugs.

"Mason, you haven't said anything, You're the nutcracker, you should be happy!" I smile.

"I'm not, Kendal is the worst to dance with, ask Rodger!" Mason states.

We all nod in agreement.

"Rehearuls start tonight, and I am not ready for it" I sigh.

"You guys are being overdramatic, just look on the bright side!" Justin smiles.

"How are we supposed to when our lead is a monster?" Makayla asks.

Justin nods "Good point"

I hold in a laugh along with everyone else besides Will and Justin.

"What's so funny?" Will asks.

"Justin said good point, and us girls dance in pointe shoes for the nutcracker, get it?" Makyala laughs.

We laugh along while Justin and Will stand there...Still very confused.

"You're adorbale" I laugh at Will, kissing his cheek.

He furrows his eyebrows "I still don't get it"

"It's okay" I laugh.

"Just dance humor"

Nichole walks past us, exchanging a glare with me and Olivia stands there, stone faced.

"what's with your sister?" Mason asks.

"How am I supposed to know? She doesn't talk to me" I shrug.

"Oh! Harper is all signed up for ballet and tap!" Will smiles.

"That's awesome!" Sophie smiles.

"I thought I saw her with the minis during auditions, she's a party guest" I explain.

Kids our age and the minis were included in the nutcracker.

The minis only had small parts, like when I was little, I was a party guest.

"I heard they might add a small part in the waltz of the flowers for them as well" Makayla explains.

"All this dance talk is giving me a headach" Justin groans.

"I ahve to get used to it, I'm the one talking Harper to practices" Will complains.

"Oh you poor baby!" I laugh.

"Your aunt is a dance coach, your girlfriend dances and now your sister, Huh" Jordan laughs.

"Shut it" Will snaps.

"I'll pass" Jordan smiles.

This was going to get some getting used too.

Two football players hanging around dancers.

Dancers, the freaks of the school had two of the best football players with them.

I was dating a popular boy.

This is different.
