The scent of Thor cooking more bacon, woke Steve the next morning. Opening his eyes revealed seven twenty-two in bright green letters. The aroma filled the room through the open door. Steve smiled at the thought of his favorite snack, although bacon two days in a row probably wasn't healthy. Steve got up on his elbows gleefully, before falling back on his bed with a frown, remembering his failed proposal and breakup.

Thor yelled from the kitchen, "Are you awake, Steve."

Steve debated not answering and just going back to sleep, avoiding the world, but he forced himself awake so he wouldn't miss work at nine. Turning to look at the digital clock once again, Steve sighed, realizing that he had to be at the office by nine.

"Yes," answered Steve.

"Great, come get your breakfast is ready," spoke Thor.

Steve walked into the kitchen, seeing Thor's back, while the man served the food.

"You know I can cook for myself, Thor," said Steve.

"Yes, but you are sad, and I want to help you feel better," responded Thor, turning to face Steve. The plates were full of food but mostly bacon, Thor shining a smile that Steve couldn't help but return, blushing heavily.

'Damn he's cute,' thought Steve.

"Here is your's," said Thor, still beaming

"That's a terrifying amount of bacon, Thor," stated Steve, wondering where it all came from.

"It is your favorite right?" Asked Thor.

"Yes," chuckled Steve, "Thank you."

Steve moved over to the small table in the kitchen, setting his food down and sitting. Across, Steve sat Thor, who seemed to be happy with Steve's presence. Steve looked down at his food, strangely nervous about making eye contact with the other man Thor had made eggs and bacon, which was surprisingly good since the only edible thing Thor knew how to make was a damn good steak.

"Are you nervous about something, Steve," said Thor.

"What," Steve almost jumped at the question.

"You seem nervous. Are you sure you're ok?" Continued Thor.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just thinking," responded Steve.

'Why am I so nervous, it's just Thor.'

"Don't worry Steve, you're very handsome, I'm sure you'll find your special one," reassured Thor, eliciting another blush from Steve. The smaller man finished his food before standing up and speaking.

"I'm gonna go shower and leave for work, thanks again for the food, Thor."

Steve stepped into the bathroom, took his clothes off, and stood under the running water.

'Why am I being so weird,' thought Steve, recalling the crush he had on Thor when they first met. Steve speculated that his crush on Thor was just coming back, still confused as to why it would flare up again now. Deciding to think about it later, Steve stepped out of the shower and headed off to work.

The worst thing for Steve right now was being alone with his own thoughts. Come to think of it, Thor's extroverted personality was probably helping Steve get over his heartbreak. However, right now, he was at work, alone, at his desk, just him and his thoughts. Thoughts that ranged from how badly he messed up with Peggy to happy memories turned sad, to how being a fuck-up would keep him from finding love for the rest of his life.

"Hey Stevie,' heard Steve in a familiar voice, one of his closest friends, Bucky.

"Hey, what's up," replied Steve, half lost in his thoughts.

"How did it go with Peggy," spoke Bucky in a playful tone.

"Oh, yea... um," Steve didn't know how to break the news to Bucky, who sat at the edge of his seat in excitement. "She broke up with me," he spoke, tears welling up in his eyes.

Bucky spoke softly, "Steve, it's alright, you're better of without her anyways."

"I know you didn't like her Buck," argued Steve, "But I loved her."

"I know Stevie," said Bucky apologetically, "How are you holding up."

Steve spoke, "I'm pretty sure, I messed it up somehow. Everything was fine, and I thought Peggy was gonna be the woman I married and had kids with, but then she... Just broke it off."

"I know it hurts now Steve, but you'll find someone even better than Peggy," said Bucky making fun of the woman's name.

"Don't worry too much about me Bucky, Thor's invaded my apartment, and his company is actually helping," Steve chuckled, thinking about Thor's beautiful smile. Bucky saw Steve stuck in his daydreaming recalling the time when Steve had a massive crush on Thor. Bucky waited a moment, hoping Steve would snap out of his trance.

"So," Bucky broke the silence, "are you crushing on Thor again?"

"What?" Asked Steve, turning red.

"You were frowning until his name came out of your mouth," said Bucky.

"No, I'm not crushing again, he's just helping me out a lot Buck." Defended Steve, trying his hardest to hide his blush.

"Sure, you don't," teased Bucky, "That's why you're so nervous and red."

"Shut up," responded Steve, thinking about how much longer until he could go home and see Thor.

Unlocking and opening the front door to his apartment, Steve was met with Thor sitting on the couch with plastic bags all around him. Thor turned his head at the sound of the door closing and lit up when he saw Steve at the entrance.

"Steve!" Boomed Thor, "You're home!"

Thor stood up and went over to hug him tightly. Steve hugged him back if only to hide the blush creeping up his cheeks. Steve used to play football in high school, but Thor was strong, Steve felt the taller man's toned arms almost crush him with their strength.

"Hey Thor," said Steve, still hugging him

Thor let go of Steve and held his shoulders while looking into his eyes. Steve couldn't help but laugh at the energy of giant golden retriever in front of him.

"I bought movies to take your mind off things," said Thor.

Steve looked through the bags on the sofa, seeing a collection of weird movies.

"Thor what are these, Gifted, The Losers, and Scott Pilgrim?" Questioned Steve.

"Oh, I searched for movies with actors that looked like you." Responded Thor.

"Weird but cool," admitted Steve.

Thor made popcorn while Steve put in one of the movies,  deciding to watch Gifted first, The Losers second, and Scott Pilgrim last. Steve sat on the couch, waiting for Thor to sit down and play the movie. They watched the first two films, laughing and crying together. However, halfway through the last movie, Thor had laid down on Steve's chest, hugging and flustering the hell out of Steve. When the final movie ended, it was almost midnight, and Steve was horrified at how much the actor in the three films looked like him.

"Thor," whispered Steve, trying to shake Thor awake. Thor only hummed in his sleep. Steve tried standing up but ultimately failed when Thor's grip tightened on him, not letting Steve go. He tried to get out once more before giving up and laying back down.

"I guess," said Steve, "Goodnight Thor."

Steve heard Thor mumble goodnight back before getting comfortable, closing his eyes and leaning into Thor's strong embrace.
