"AAH!" Cross jumped when Nightmare snuck up from behind him and yelled in his nonexistent ear.
"Did you break the toaster again?"
"...no!"
"There were tacos stuffed inside it."
"Wasn't me."
"The tacos were covered in melted chocolate."
"So?"
"There were red knives on the table."
"Those could belong to anyone."
"And this was next to it" Nightmare held up a white slip of crumpled paper. In grey writing, it said 'Cross didnt break the toaster'.
"Exactly."
Under that in uneven, red letters were the words 'Yes he did. Signed, Chara.'
